So I'm sure there are others it will happen to but when you select to REMOVE mods...you know REMOVE them so you could USE them in another weapon...you can't...Apparently the word they were looking for was DELETE mods so that you can put in a different mod. So once you use a mod you can never use it again on another weapon without re-buying it.

Oh well, now I know, but someone should really consider changing the text here.

Seeing as there is a second option immediately below that that says "Retrieve mods" you might question the purposes of the buttons before clicking them (especially if you VALUE those mods which you obviously do).

In addition, there is a FULL DESCRIPTION TO THE SIDE of exactly what that button does.

So really, I think you're just pissed that you didn't slow your crap down and you screwed up and now you wish to blame the game for your mistake.

I've not seen the Retrieve Mod option - is that only available on certain weapons? I swear it's not there for my weapons with mods. Also, Remove is still not the correct word, it should be delete.

But you are removing the mods from the weapon, keeping the weapon and losing the mods.

With Retrieve you're removing the mods from the weapon, keeping the mods and losing the weapon.

How else do you think they should "word" it in short easily identifiable text? Delete is not a correct term - what in the real world do you "delete"? You don't... you remove, retrieve, etc.

I have never once destroyed mods I wanted to keep, or retrieved mods from a weapon I wanted to keep.

I do not know why you don't have a retrieve mods button, but maybe your EGO isn't high enough yet to access the option. I do suggest you read everything before clicking though - obviously that is not a habit you've already formed.

Not a big fan of the all or nothing mod retrieval... I should be able to yank one mod out of a gun and pay less for it than take all 4 out.

It also appears you can't retrieve mods until the weapon has all its slots filled with an appropriate mod. That doesn't make too much sense to me...

IIRC "retrieve mods" may not be available until a certain level.

    I may be wrong though.

You are quite correct, though I cannot remember at what ego rating its available.

The Retrieve Mods option doesn't appear for a weapon until you've maxxed it out.

    Verified it last night.

*Edit: I guess it could have been when I passed 1k EGO...happened around the same time I maxxed a shotgun and I didn't think it would be tied to EGO rating.

The "retrieve" option isn't available until the weapon is maxxed, at least that was my experience (I'm only 500 Ego). I too selected "remove" mods on a weapon when a better one was found, and was annoyed to learn that the mods I was trying to keep were destroyed, and the weapon that was meh was neatly sitting in my inventory. Naked.
