Me, I'm 45 and beat NIM myself after the 5th try, thanks to my 19 year old son giving me insight on how to beat him. He is tough, but he is beatable....... persistence is the key!!!

I beat him my first try with just a sniper rifle...
I still don't want to beat my head against that wall. Congrats though :)

Nym is one of those bosses that require you to think. I managed to beat him on the first go. I died in 2nd stage but revived myself. It's not that hard really, unless you're using overcharge which may get things a little bit more compicated. I used cloak myself.
I have to tell you how cool it is to have a real community that responds!!!! I am a big time gamer and I am really enjoying both the game and the show and just the whole concept...thanks to everyone who shared my excitement...takes a gamer to know a gamer!!!!

Congrats hmf999! I am a tad younger than you, but I felt the same despair that you did with Nim. My last try I was paying more attention to what my wife was watching in the other room and finally beat him. I think my problem was I was over thinking what I was doing.

I beat Nym without having to respawn. I used Blur and a BMG and just tried to keep my distance from him! I did go down twice but i had my self revive both times!

BMG and a Respark shield (3sec delay) will take him out easily for anyone that needs help.

The problem with NIM is that he doesn't give you much breathing room to learn and figure him out... but if you just run around until you get a feel for him then he is more tedious to defeat than hard.

congrats, I haven't gotten that far in the story, but looking forward to it. great to see a lot of older gamers playing. I'm 46 and hope I'm still playing at 87, can't even imagine what we'll be playing.

Seriously though congrats, I used overcharge and shotgun but I think there are easier ways to do it, like BMG would of been real handy if I thought about that at the time lol.
Congrats ... I too battled him out just last night , and he was a itch. the first part took longer to do I ended up killing him within 20 ish tries ... but most of those was learning the first part. Finding the best weapon to use and movement around the level.
Well done nice to see it's not just the youngsters that can do it.
