D@mn it Jim! Im a Doctor not a fighter. I just like to heal.

The thread name says it all. Forgive me for posting about healing. Im sure there are other threads however, but I cant find them. From what I have gathered; the BMG is what I will be working with. My question is; will there be any other ways to heal and or buff players, or will it all be through the one gun. Are there healing EGO abilities? Any healing info you know; post it hear. Ive always played a medic/healer type in all my mmos. I know you guys are rare'n to kill, but I loves me a good crit heal. Let me know what you know.

There are needle guns. Maybe some of them will be beneficial?

there are perks to do with ressing and healing. but thats it.

this game is not built around roles. so there is no way to specialise.

There was a video titled "One hour with Defiance", or something to that effect, where one of the developers specifically said their were healing weapons available (that you use on other players) for players that were, perhaps, maybe not so good at pinpoint aiming but wanted to contribute.

I heard about some healing grenades in one of the streams (think the ign 1hr).

BMG weapon 1

assult rifle weapon 2.

switch between the 2 and your good to go

This is most likely going to be my preferred setup, at least when running with a group. I do like to roll solo in MMOs at times though.

Always good to have a medic on the team. When Im raging out with assault rifles and rocket launchers with overcharge and get carried away, its good to have a doctor in the house haha

IIRC, there's a perk that heals your entire group, when you heal one person.

yeah there are lots of abilities for those who want to be healers... only our question about whether those revive perks work with the BMG or if you actually have to go revive them by hand... haven't been answer yet.

I can see two healers kill themselves over and over again so that their team can never die...

Thanks guys!!! I see all sorts of goodness in the ego-calculator! All for one, Samaritan,Combat medic,Self Medicated,Phoenix boost,Turn the tide, Life saver! from the looks of it, these skills and others are perfect for making just about any toon to fit your play style. I think Ill go BMG/assault riffle too. Im not sure , but the BMG itself can be upgraded as well right?

all weapons can, the bmg falls under that

I was just afraid they it would some how be the only one that didnt get upgrades some how. Now then "anyone in need of triage?"

The only thing I don't know for sure... is that its the only weapon you don't pick up ammo for.. I know you can charge it using the drain, but Im not sure about ammo if they can fill the BMG.
