about purples and orange gear!

Was it ever comfirmed by a developer that the only way to get purple and orange gear is from lockboxs Im ego 1600 and never seen a drop higher then a blue.

I have seen purple drops from arkfalls and even sometimes from a lock box, but never from any world drop. even with the boost/pinata going

I've gotten quite a few purple shields/grenades as rewards from Arkfalls, none as actual drops though

I get purples all the time as vendor specials and rewards for Arkfalls but I have never seen them drop from an enemy. Im on PS3 and 578 EGO btw.

Ive heard of oranges and purples dropping from hulkers. But thats just what someone said, which can obviously be BS.

Why do they even call it a tier 2 lockbox anyway? Tier 1 didn't make the cut?

I've only seen a few purples. I'm almost 600 ego, and no orange **** for me. I had to buy a pistol. The lock boxes suck.

I think that bs myself and the reason I say that is I farmed hulkers alot and they never dropped anything more then a blue. Its stupid that this game dont even give you a 0.001% chance to find a purple or a orange off random mobs

Call me crazy all you want. I spent $150 for the game and about $260 on boosts. Im starting to realize that loot boosts are a waste of money if you cant find better then blue. 876:57 hours left on loot boost lol im am kinda crazy

25600 enemies killed.
Not a single orange drop.
2 purple drops.

The drop rate is a joke.

Just another poor development choice.

Instead of farming enemies for loot we now farm events for currency to farm boxes for loot. Pathetic.

True,

also the key drop rates got decreased into oblivion.
Trying to become a good weapon has become pure russian-roulette-gamble-grind.

Definite inconsistencies throughout Defiance and I can appreciate the devs wanting to keep rare loot exactly that, Rare.

But I feel that they may have gone a tad too far with rarity values.

All I got to say...as of right now the loot system is a fail.

its not a WoW... that first of all,

second: its good that orange drop is so low, its a legendary item so you want it in every drop ?

please, grow up. i dont have too many purple, not a single orange, and im good with that cuz i know when im getting it , it will be uncommon.

anywho TY for Reading ^.^

Nothing above a blue will drop from an enemy. If you want purple or oranges it's either lock boxes or arkfalls. But even the arkfalls only seem to give me grenades/shields.

We'd see more action in co-ops if bad guys actually dropped something above a blue.

First of all, do not come flaming me for having a difference of opinion.

Secondly; I never said it's WoW, I never said make it like WoW. However it has colored loot rarity like most RPG games, even though this is a "MMOTPS".:rolleyes:

It's annoying there are no loot tables or at least give us better rewards for Tier 4 boxes. There is no way in hell I should be getting greens in a T4 box at all. Instead of giving players farmable enemies they made it so you have to farm events to earn currency for something useful.

I understand the frustration, but I was under the understanding this was more of a skill based game than gear? Not saying a better weapon is not wanted. I have mostly purple, and have yet to even see a orange. Not for lack of trying, have opened about 6 of the T4 and only purps. It is silly getting greens of any kind tho from them. Hope that changes.

I am rating 230 (ish) and saved up to buy a lvl 4 tier (64 keys) and got an orange auto shotgun that actually kind of sucks. I will keep it always but never use it as it just isn't powerful at all.

Approx 33,000 total kills and ego level 2,300 now. Played since day 1.

Probably 300-400 hulker kills (farmed them for all my weapon levelups/combat persuits!) and 200-300 hellbug Matron kills.

I have never, ever seen a purple, or orange, drop from a mob. And I loot everything.

Legendaries have got quite unique bonuses, or at least at the point I have played up the EGO level. 15% recharging grenades on kill, for example. And as I discovered quite recently one legendary's level-up power it gave 10% time-increase of EGO power.
