because we control our environment.. everything about it, and still participate in other activities that rely on our earlier features.. thus.. things that would no longer be needed are still around, and thus we have not made any changes on an evolutionary scale, positive or otherwise. these "Improvements" have really just put us on a path of destruction. Better mortality rate, longer life, less death, against a planet that is the same size it was in the beginning... we are growing, and one day there will be more mouths to feed than we have food for. Perhaps that scenario will be enough for us to evolve something.. good chance we may produce less children, our diets may change (but will it be enough and in time?), and hopefully, our cognitive structure will evolve enough to either solve the issue here or find a way to easily travel over 93 MILLION lightyears and greater in search of a new place to live..
improvements....
