The Voltan seven races are up against a species that has fought amongst itself since we lived in caves, given we are fighting for our very survival then we would have fought harder and dirtier than we normal do.

Quite a few strato carriers have been shot down, I think there only were 6 ever made (inside defiance episode 4 for exact figures and name of shot down vessel near defiance). Only 1 strato carrier remains operative. Humans had far more resources, but the Votans had the upper hand in tech. Earth military forces were quite literally being whiped out in fast numbers (lore on website). The humans made up the deficiency in tech, with numbers, human numbers.Quote:

Just because they had vastly superior technology don't mean they would win, look at the Vietnam war, you can force a superior technological enemy to withdraw or to the negotiation table.

This interest me the most in both the game and TV series, just who or what destroyed the Arks. Opens a hole lot of plots they could use.
