    Which version is most stable?
PC or Xbox or PS3? in term of number of bugs, lags, crushes & performance
What is your recommendation for a new comer who prefer consoles but can play on PC?

Best advice is to hold off for now and see if the game improves.

The version with the biggest problems seems to be X-Box. PC and PS3 are both stable. I play PC myself and prefer it, since I find shooters more enjoyable with a mouse, and I can remap most of the interface stuff on the keyboard. But the interface itself is designed with a console in mind, and the PS3 people keep talking about how well things are running for them. So there's that.

The only slight downside on PS3 is they get their patches a little later because of Sony. But its only a slight downside because it also means you'll probably get a more stable patch than PC/X-box got earlier.

I'd strongly suggest the PC version out of the 3 choices. I'm not a fan of the interface, but it's serviceable-- and you'd be dealing with the same damn salvage interface on the consoles anyway.

If you prefer a controller, you have the option to play with that on the PC anyway.

    PC:
    - Best performance (Although, obviously reliant on your computers specs)
    - First in line for patch fixes, alongside Xbox 360.
    - Apparently bad UI Controls, but can be solved by using a controller.
    - Hacks released, so beware of hackers in PVP and even in PVE.

    PS3:
    - 2nd Best in performance
    - Last in line for patch fixes
    - No hackers.

    Xbox:
    - Last in performance, more than playable but does have some framerate issues, especially when there is 100 people on screen.
    - First in line for patch fixes, alongside PC.
    - No hackers.

I chose Xbox, simply because of the hackers but if you don't PVP much it won't really make any difference to your gameplay. (And I don't own a PS3)

On hackers on the PC version: Trion earned massive cred with the Rift launch by essentially flipping a switch and destroying exploits. While I'm not sure if this Trion is the same Trion that launched Rift, if they're able to live up to their own name the PC version will quickly close the exploit gap.

The reason xbox has the most issues is because it has the highest pop, by a good clip. They issues have been clearin up for me pretty consistently. PS3 is probably the cleanest running due to smallest pop.

I haven't really played the xbox version enough to really comment but have played both the PC and ps3 since launch.
    In my experience so far:

PS3 version freezes or hard locks at least 3x a night
Disconnected at least 2x a night

PC version I've almost had no issues whatsoever. I have disconnected a grand total of 2x since launch and has yet to crash on me.

Eh. People are quick to dismiss MMO's on the Xbox, but always forget Final Fantasy XI Online (regardless if you liked it or not) worked quite well on it, and is still going. And it's way more of a MMO than Defiance is. And that's a game that is cross platform (PS2/PS3, PC) and cross region (Japan, NA, EU). It CAN be done, it just hasn't been done much.

I have been playing and enjoying on the PS3. The voice-chat doesn't work and there are bunch of other bugs through out. Nothing really prevented me from enjoying and completing the main quests and all the co-op maps.

The major bugs in my view are the bugs that prevent the Shadow Wars (PvP) mode from working well. They also disabled one of the modes (Capture and Hold) it launched with cause it had some issues. The Competitive Deathmatch works fine.
