How Can Anyone Hate On IGN's Review? It Cant Be Anymore Truthful...

I duno what all the hate is on this review...I just watched it and the guy couldn't have said it any better.

Just because some of us disagree on the game doesnt make us Trolls, we just dont like the game. And everyone I talk to and know who have played this game ALL of them have said "what a waste of money." I swear I am not lying when I say this either guys/gals...

"Most boil down to the most derivative sort of fetching – find and activate three generators, locate three clues, kill 10 enemies... the stuff MMOs are frequently made fun of for."

"I didn’t hate the dozens of hours I spent shooting generic aliens and mutants in Defiance, but I know I’m not going back to it, either. Rather than the addictive, "Where did the day go?" sort of experience I had when I started out my adventures in World of Warcraft and Star Wars: The Old Republic, Defiance doesn’t do anything special enough to hook me, even for the short term."

The list can go on but every quote i have quoted above couldn't have been said any better...ITS TRUE! and you know it! This game really did have something going for it...But once you beat Nim, and all the side quests, have done 10+ Arkfalls/Shadow Wars/TDM/Domination/Co-Ops (if u manage to keep the motivation as you had in the beginning to continue) there really isnt ANYTHING FRESH to keep you going...

I will keep this game just because I have a feeling something good will happen in the next couple months. I will wait till the 1st DLC is released (wont be surprised if they push it back numerous times due to the game still being in BETA) and then see what that brings. (im sure it will bring more bugs and glitches). I am keeping hope alive for this game because I LOVED IT at first and never played a game as much in my life since WoW 1st came out 10 years ago.

Though it's been contributed many times before. In a thread. About this review.

There is a few flaws within that review. The first being when he says " It doesn’t provide a good backstory about the world – that's seemingly left to the companion SyFy TV show" someone didn't listen to the audio logs you pick up around the world and secondly when he says "Though don’t expect to easily do quests together, since there’s no good way to share them, and if you do a story mission while grouped it just cuts everyone else out and treats you like you’re playing solo." you don't even need the side quest or main quest, if your in a party you will just phase with your group members and you can help them do the quest and you still get XP for completing it. You just won't get the quest XP and quest reward. The only time you can't get into a story mission is when your group member is in a Solo only mission. Every time I'm partied up with my friend and she does a main story mission, i can go and help her even though I've already completed main story and side quests.

IGN you suck at reviewing games properly. My god.

Do what I do these days & that is rent a game out from your local store.
If you like it then buy it............simple

The complaints about the back story are hilarious. Guess people don't know how to read the mission/side mission quest boxes or listen to the data recorders all over the place. There's plenty of back story. It's funny I saw on another forum someone whining about how the tv show has no back story.... and now there's complaints about the game? ha. With all the videos they released on this, if you don't get the back story at that point, you need to just quit the internet.

I know all about the back story...I read all the blogs and stuff on one of the websites from when they invaded in 2014 or whatever all the way through the 33 years...but it doesnt tell u that in the game. ur just thrown into a f'd up world...but like you and many others here are in denial about the games failure and its ok. Iam in denial just as bad as everyone else. #patsonback

Yup I'm in denial for having issues they complain about which i didn't come across with the PS3 version. Ummm Is IGN coping and pasting again like they did with the Skyrim review. I wouldn't be surprised.
