I just beat this mission in main story, but DAMN I struggled... Anyone else have issue with this mission solo? I'd like to give a few friends some advice but all I can say is 'good luck'. Must have taken me 15+ tries!

I died like twice. Then I got used to the pattern.
You must be better than I or I must have rushed it too much. Once I slowed down and took my time, I got his ***
I didn't have any issues at all. Don't think I even went down once. I used a respark shield w/ 25% health regen and the usual respark stats about 1050 shields with 3 second delay. Had a pump shotgun for when he came down to play and used an LMG when he was up on the catwalk. Once he came down it was over because I used overdrive(whatever the extra DMG power is) and 2 clips of shotgun ammo he was done.
I had more trouble getting the gas tanks on the little guys to catch on fire. They were bum-rushing me so I had to either melt their faces or run from the flames. I must have went through 25 of them spawing before I got lucky with a couple well timed detonator shots behind them puncturing their tanks.
That's the easiest part, wait till they start shooting fire, roll behind them, and get their tank. They don't move when you roll and you have an open window at their tank for a second or two.Quote:

Yea I didn't have a hard time with gas tanks. I melee them and they fall on their face, I shot to their back and they are up in flames. My struggle was his damn grenade launcher, kept kicking my *** if I didn't hide like scaredy cat. I finally got him with a detonator....
Good advice, I didn't know they stopped moving while they were flaming. I can't remember, do they keep shooting in the same direction once they start?Quote:

Side note, the other raiders seem like they would be a problem while you are flanking the flamers, getting shot in the back and all. I guess map placement would come into account.
