I have heard about Defiance and the video game tie in for a while and was interested it. After DVR'ing the 1st epidsode and finally getting to watch it last night i went out earlier and bought the game without having read ANYTHING on it. I am downloading patches right now for 360 right now. Where can i go for some good newbie info on how to play/useful info? A beginner's guide if you will. Thanks!

The in-game tutorial will offer you next to little explanation of what to actually DO in the game... as for being pointed in the right direction, I would suggest finding it out yourself... as there is so many different play styles with different priorities.
I was really hoping there would be a sticky with an intro. Even the insert with game didn't have anything other than a control scheme. Guess i'll have to learn through trial and error...no better teacher than experience i guess.

I have to be honest...."figure it out" is not really the response i was hoping for in a new gaming community. I understand some things are best learned through trial and error. I was just hoping the game would have some kind of introduction page that showed some of the basics. I don't think that is asking for too much. I'll update here in a few hours i guess...the patches are done and maybe it won't be too hard to figure out.
There really is nothing to an introduction.
We were all dropped into this world with only the knowledge of how to equip things, and shoot our guns.
After learning everything, there really isn't anything you can't figure out on your own.

I appreciate it. At least i know it shouldn't be too hard now. I have had bad experiences with MMORPG's etc in the past that friends have recommended that really had a steep learning curve with very little help initially... (looking at you EVE online). Really excited about the concept of game and show interaction.
Yes, it's VERY easy to get into.
There is no learning curve... let alone a steep one
