A question about guidelines.

    A question about guidelines.
So, basically I've written another short fan-fiction for Defiance and wanted to post it up places. However, I'm not really sure on what the guidelines and restrictions on posting is. I can easily censor out the foul language (Mei, my character, swears all the time!), but I'm more wondering about themes. There are some pretty disturbing themes and concepts in this story, graphic descriptions of violence and a few other bits and pieces that would almost certainly rate it as an 18+ (MA).

What's the policy on this? Should I post it or should I not? I know that this is a community forum for a game that has an 18+ rating, but I also know that places like this are obviously also going to have minors browsing around.

Some sort of official answer would be nice, but I'll honestly take what I can get.

    Thanks :)

To be honest, so long as you're not making money form it and you credit Trion for everything that is theirs (such as the world, the characters they made, that kind of thing...) then I doubt Trion would want/need to sue you.

Other than that, so long as you are posting it to appropriate places and doing the usual 'not for kids' warnings, I can't see the themes causing too much of a fuss.

When I said post it places, I basically meant on my clan forums (they're fine, we're specifically an 18+ clan for these reasons), the Defiance RP forums (also fine, spoke to the admin there) and here. So it's more of a question on content rather than anything serious like legalities. I'm an author with my own universe already, so I know about written copyrights and that kind of stuff ;)

PM a mod. None of the regular posters are in a position to give you a proper answer.

Yeah, just sent sledgey a PM asking about it. I'll get a more direct, definitive answer that way. Thanks for the idea.
