Hello Fellow Ark Hunters

Saw how everyone was on here praising how great this game is, which is totally true (lol), so i thought that i would as well. This is actually my very first MMO. I have played a few other semi MMO's like WKC and a few co-ops like Borderlands but nothing compares to the WOW that this game has!!! Took me a bit to adjust to it all but i am finally getting the hang of it thnx to a few very good friends of mine. I even love it so much I decided to start a clan but im not going to get sucked into the whole power struggle thing that they bring about in games. I was member of many guilds on WKC and it ALWAYS was the same deal. Drama and more drama. Knowing this im thinkn of just keeping it between my few friends. However, that doesn't mean I wouldnt help anyone who asks. I just dont believe in harassing fellow games by spamming the clan invites on them. On the same note, to those people out there who think along the same lines as me and have held off on joining, i would be willing to do like a test period where u come along and if u like gaming with me and my couple friends then we will discuss joining but if it's not u, then it's ok and u would still be welcome to just chill/play with us at anytime. my only rule would b that im NOT out to make a massive clan of ppl. I prefer quality of gamers and decency towards others over quantity anyday! Any that are interested drop me a PSN message. ID -> DragnRydr02 and im mike. Hope to hear from everyone who is interested soon. Till then may everyone have a great gaming exprience!

Welcome to MMO's. I will tell you the first thing said to me when I started EVE Online 2 years ago. Once a MMO player, theres not much else that will stack up.

its refreshing to see some one have a paragraph of praise instead of "screw this game im going to quit if trion doesnt fix the bugs" especially for your first full MMO i may take you on that invite for your clan idea i joined one second day but really it was only becuase i got an invite so if you get a frend requst from an Extix666 thatd be me good gaming peeps and happy 4/20(yes its was hitlers birthday but i celebrate the day for stoners lol)

Hello there, here's another newbie. I haven't been gaming for years but I've been enjoying sci-fi shows for quite a while (mostly Doctor Who and Farscape). So when I heard Rockne S. O'Bannon was the producer of "Defiance", i had to get into the show and the game because of already enjoying his work on Farscape. Took some time to get used to gaming again, but I'm starting to get the hang of it as well and am enjoying the experience a lot! It's my first MMO experience as well, I think the team did quite a great job and the in between scenes are great!

your severely overstating the "wow" factor of this game having been a gamer for about 20 years ive seen games from the PS1/N64 era with more "wow" and i find it funny how you've overestimated the clan system - its nothing more than a glorified friendslist at this point so your worried about absolutely nothing

thnx for replying everyone. yeah i know most ppl r upset and all with one or more aspects of this game but here's to hoping it all gets better. i to have been gaming 4 almost 24 yrs and i have seen some crappy stuff but if i stopped playing games everytime something went wrong id never b the gamer i am today. i know the clan system is what u guys think it is. thats how all clans/guilds start out. i just worry that when/if the makers of the game start putting rewards into it for having the biggest/best clan then thats when the clan war will start like on the other games i mentioned. i just wanna play with my current friends and possibly make some new ones and have a ton of fun doing it. thats the sole reason for my clan forming is i like making freidns. as for the WOW comment it is my first MMO so i'm kinda overloaded with being so impresed cuz i didnt know how great htese types of games could be. anhyways thanka again to everyone who took their time to reply to my message and again everyone and anyone is always welcome in my game. dont think i wasnt impressed at first too but that quickly wears off when you realize there are only really 6 things to do at this point (emergencies, PvP, co-op, missions, arkfalls, and grinding/pursuits) and they all get old fast. couple that with the poor customer service they have here and this game becomes extremely frustrating. not to mention the deafening silence on current/future plans to add even the MMO basics to the game. i too have seen some BS in my time but never has a game given me nightmares of losing all my game data, or made me fear it would kill my system, or made me fear logging out cuz i might lose something valuable, or literally made me nauseous at the sight of my own remote, or caused me to go on a full gaming hiatus like this game has. did you know the latest patch that PS3 doesnt even have access to yet caused a whole new set of nearly game breaking f*ck ups for PC/Xbox to pile up on top of most of the existing one?

doesnt paint a good picture for this game fresh, under-developed MMO or not

I had heard something along those lines here recently. As for this game I'm more worried bout getting to play with friends lol.
