It's not a issue of learning to play... I play lots of shooters. I am an admittedly mediocre player at best and I have a good time regardless. I'm not crying because I win matches or lose matches. I'm just concerned that the tactical appeal is not there and defiance needs solid PVP to endure. Shotguns are making PVP feel one dimensional right now.

Yeah guys, stop complaining, don't you understand? you need to become sufficiently better then that nuubcake rolling shotgun/cloak that you effectivly counter his fotm combo with your own player skill.

Honestly do you guys even realise how silly you sound? people need to become better to counter a combo that is quite clearly unbalanced compared to other combos?

Also for the guy saying there is no way to nerf shotguns without in impacting pve.

1: Yes there is.
2: So if my sniper rifle had heatseeking bullets, it shouldnt get nerfed, because.. hey it affects pve to!

Some of you managed to get good enough that you can counter the basic cloak/shotgunner? good for you, I would very much like to see what happens when those cloak/shotgunners catch up to you in skill though.

I hear you... But do you feel that the PVE has enough strength to stand on its own? There are a heck of a lot of players that have devoured the PVE content... Whine about the repetitive fetch missions... Wonder "what next?" I'm excited to see the weekly content updates and want to clearly state that "I want Defiance to succeed". No they do not. PvE should never be nerfed to crap because of PvP and Shotguns are just fine in PvE.

First I am going to put this out there; I suck at pvp, now that, that is out of the way. I have very minimal issue with shotguns, at least in shadow wars, it is just a matter of standing far back from those spread damage wielding suckers, I used a vbi ar my last match and went 12/2 with 2 assists best score I have ever had in a pvp match. What I do have an issue with is being one shot when I have a full shield and that has happened a few times, and is stupid when I don't even own a weapon that can kill someone less than 2 bullseyes.

You've made some great points in this thread but shotguns are so named because they fire "shot" as opposed to bullets, shot being defined as a hand full of pellets.

Or Im thoroughly ruining your lame joke, if so I apologize.

Shotguns don't "one shot" - they "many pellets" you to death.
