Heads up for PC players about downtime

From what I can gather from reading a few threads the issue is related
to logging into the game but actually being put in the game on someone elses account.

Hence why you're noticing Ego differences, different inventories, different perks.

If this is not the case i apologize for stirring things up.
BUT if this IS infact the case (trion please give the heads up on that)
I advise everyone to check their inventories and Defiance store Purchase history
once the servers to come back up.

I used to play an MMO that came across the accessing the wrong account issue
and i had to fight to get 100s of dollars in ingame puchases refunded to me.

Most recent occurrence of this bug i can think of would be PoE.
Not really an MMO but same principals of logging in would apply.

Except that isn't what happened to me. I had an increase in EGO Rating, and my Outfit was set to the Deputy Lawkeeper set (like many, many others), but my Inventory and everything else was mine.

That's a good sign. But, my point is better safe then sorry.
I know from the experience.
And it's not Trions fault. (Atleast this time) You can't really see something like that coming.

The only way it's not Trion's fault is if they let somebody else do the coding. Considering this is a code failure, yeah it's Trion's fault. Sloppy testing leads to issues like this because they aren't caught where they should be.

Although, when it did crash, it was pretty cool respawning with 100+ deputy lawkeepers in some random location. Everyone was like - wtf just happened? TRION did it for the lawls.

So that means more problems? Im about to write this game off as my epic orange AR is gone missing and I did invest lots time and efforts to obtain it ,at least 8 t-4 boxes and that's a lot of grinding for key codes.

Took them 4 days to trouble shoot my login problems , my inventory is totally messed up all the trouble and headaches and let's face it the bug shooting is ok but its start to feel more like a chore I don't see my self sticking around for another month.

I did the same thing! Nothing brings to my mind a bunch of people uselessly flailing around as stuff falls apart as that song. To be fair that was what I played over vent after a third wipe. Heh...

All we can really hope for now is that they can do some kind of Rollback. Everyone wants to be a higher ego rating, thats the whole purpose of playing the game. But to have some odd hundreds of levels just added to your character? Idunno... if they can't fix it and everyone is gonna be stuck like that, it'll be the end of Defiance for me.
