I can see that. I use a USB keyboard on my xbox and all i would need to to is reach up with my pink and poke it.

I was going to start a thread suggesting more use of the keyboard.
I have PS3, and clip on my keyboard when playing this game for text chat.
It would be great if I could use the number keys to change load outs.
Also press S to enter social menu.
G for goals.
I for intel.
M for matchmaking menu.
L for log out.
I just don't get the whole 'instant weapon changing' thing.
Why is it assumed that this is okay?
You have a primary and secondary weapon, and a few perks.
Why should you be able to instantly change your 2 weapons AND perks?
I don't do it, so I don't know the specifics... When you switch the loadouts with no ammo in your clip, do the weapons in your new loadout have full clips? If so, OP MUCH PL0X
I'll pull out the EQ card on this one. Bandoliers were introduced not too long after Discord came out. In an advanced MMO, it was understood that adaptability is required to succeed at endgame and bandoliers allowed players to swap full weapon loadouts based on what just spawned. I put in a few tickets when i was beta testing to be able to bind loadouts to hotkeys.
If you're fighting Mutants, 99ers or even most Dark Matter, a pistol/AR/Fragsurge is going to get the job done. If you're in a Raider Arkfall on bonus wave 4 and there are two tankers and 6 Elite Rioters circling you, you're going to be paying 180 scrip if you don't swap out to a grenade launcher, courier, or clustershot load out. Same goes for Hell Bugs. The Mature Hellion is out, but he's not facing you, so your AR/Pistol is not putting out the damage. You need a fast loadout swap to a detonator style weapon until you can get under him to swap back to your AR/pistol to deadeye the sweetspot.
Yeah, but the explosion damage makes them sit down and open their faceplate so you can faceplant a whole clip.
Case in point: San Quentin. The Tanker and a few Rioters spawn at the end of the causeway and there is one of the rocket launcher BFGs in front of you. It has two shots. One shot for the rioters, one shot makes the Tanker sit down, then you shoot him in the face.
(Pistols are excellent DPS, agreed; but its the secondary effects that make or break some encounters. Smelters for example.)
When it comes to weapons, there wouldn't be a lot of harm, but when it comes to abilities and passives it would be broken. I think that you should be a 15 second penalty for swapping load outs. You can run but you can't shoot or use abilities.
