Sorry to hear that. If you could change loadouts without going in the menus, I would hook my Kinect back up.

I just retested. Unlike my last test, the loadout menu did appear after "EGO LOADOUT TWO", so apparently NOW in quiet times it does actually listen. You are right, no switch occurred, just the menu appearing.
This thing about having to activate the menu then select an item from it is total crap. If I have the menu up, obscuring my ability to fight, why would I bother to SAY what I wanted when mashing the Y button is probably faster. Sure, if I skip over Loadout 3 somehow and have to cycle back around to it, that'd be bad, but it'd be a lesson in why I need to mash slower.
If "one" through "five" have no current job in the Kinect lexicon, then I say they should fix things so "EGO ONE" (for example) actually switches loadouts with no menu shown. If they try to claim that some jobs can't be done without a menu being shown, I'd refer them to Skyrim as a source for code that works...
I was just thinking: what if Kinect support for loadout changes isn't a one-step operation to maintain balance in PvP matches so players without Kinect are protected from players that have it? I've seen stupider things done in the name of 'balance', and this kind of crap definitely falls under 'stupid'...
yea, just tested it. doesnt work.
Yeah, unless you scan through your loadouts while doing something else with your hands, this is pretty useless. Actually, without a next/previous or up/down, completely useless.
I'm really glad to hear I wasn't the only one yelling Ego Loadout 1 and having it bring up the menu or do nothing at all. I thought it was me so I had a text to speech program read the command out from my computer and I had the same results. Kinect was great with ME3 (with only a few hiccups like Ash throwing a grenade when I sneezed). This game not so much.
