Been following the game for a while, just joined the forums and kind of curious if much of the player base is actually going to try and following the show or not. I for one am going to give it a shot, seems like it's the kind of show i can get into.

Welcome to the forums. The way things are looking; Ill only "not" be playing the game when the show is on.
I would say a good bit of us gamers intend to give the show a shot as well. I have to be honest I'm just excited for something new and original. So tired of the one dimensional plot lines and hack/slash mentality of most games these days.
This world feels vibrant, even if it is suppose to be an apocalypse. The show is a shoe in for me being produced by the guy who brought us Farscape and the team that worked on Battlestar Galactica.
Definately going to check out the show. Looks interesting and I love the idea of what they are doing, so unless its terrible I'm gonna support it.
I am going to watch them over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over until I dream about it. :D

I'm also very hyped for the show. I've been talking about it so much I got my friends and family interested in it as well. I have a feeling I'll be filling them in on the story from the game.

Something else that has been interesting - the Tumblr blog posts. They're doing a FANTASTIC job of painting the backstory so far.
I don't know of another show on TV that is so present on so many mediums at the same time.
