I doubt we'll so much tie into the town. Also, highly doubt we'll see much more of Nolan or the chick for a while. Though what I do expect is we'll see alot of "Traveling" characters. Just like how in the firs episodes we helped him get the crystal that kicked off the show. We'll be helping or stopping people in the background.

    ----------------SPOILERS----------------

This is just a guess, but based on Episode 3. I think we'll be getting a visit from the Old Mayor or her henchmen guy soon. They are obviously planning something, wish to destroy Defiance for what ever reason. Also said it was bigger than them or the town, meaning it's something world changing.

Also for those who beat the game, we know what's his face is not dead. He claimed he could reverse the terraforming, that was the whole basis of the game story. I doubt they'd drop that story "ark" -hehe- so easily. Obviously all the humans want their old world back. Perhaps there is something under Defiance that helps with that goal. It seems all the more plausible since St. Luis "Didn't Terraform like the other cities" as was claimed in tonights episode. There must be some reason the city was encased rather than destroyed. I'd hate to see the writers put that tid bit of info in the story with no aim of using it again later.

Annnyways...point being, we'll be interacting more with characters in the background when they are not in Defiance. I wouldn't be too surprised if the Lawkeeper of our area paid a visit to Defiance or we saw some other characters come on over to ours. At the very least, it's what I hope.

so... some issues I had with the show:

    1. Putting a gun to the head of a guy about to blow up a bomb stops him. Uhh, the guy was just about to blow himself up how did that makes sense to anyone?

    2. The arch. I'm pretty sure when they showed old St. Louis there was the iconic arch but there's also one above ground, wtf?

    3. Why are they living like Mad Max when they have a tunnel that leads to freaking St. Louis? ****, salvage some of that ****.

The definitely don't go to San Fran in this season because that is where they were coming from when they reached Defiance. According to the missions pre-season anyway. I really hope they mix it up more. Maybe one of the DLC's will bring us to St Louis?

Maybe down the road during the drought of new episodes, the game can take the opportunity to fill voids of lore that tie into the show. This way enthusiast of the series would be more compel to try the game.

P.S. - Old St. Louis was a really neat discovery. So are the miners mining material from old St. Louis or something else from the terraformed Earth?

It shouldn't take three weeks for them to get to hellbugs. Hellbugs should have been the first thing shown on screen on the show, and there should always be at least one hellbug on the screen at any given time.

    Ben doesn't want to die.
Ben wants to accomplish his goal and no means are too low.

If Ben gets shot in the head he will not be able to set off the bomb and die.

    How is this not logical?
The bomb was armed but not set to explode and had to be triggered, so the gun to the head makes quite a bit of sense ... after all they didn't know he'd rather choose death than be captured alive.
Why he didn't try and go for it, that I can't tell you.

I didn't notice the arch in old St. Louis but was wondering how the arch is in Defiance when St. Louis was essentially covered and buried under the terraforming. Shouldn't the arch have been buried too? Unless, likely answer for each, is that isn't THE arch but rather one the citizens of Defiance are building.
