I just find it funny that Trion wants a skill based game where the guns that actually require you to aim are punished so heavily.

just an information, if in the old game, people was jumping, it was more because the speed was maxed while the jump. it's was mainly use for speedrun game.
anyway, i think they need to adress this. it's ridiculous to see people jump, jump, jump, jump... i have the feeling to be in a video clip of kriss kross ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=010KyIQjkTk ) seriously...
the most funny it's while they jump they are actually easier to hit with a shoot gun, since they can't change the direction of the jump.
Haha, I love these threads.
And comparing it to CS and BF is much better? You missed the point there, friend.
Bottom line, hopping is silly and leaves you vulnerable. Don't like people doing it? Kill them and make them adjust their tactics.
Having a hard time killing hoppers? Then adjust YOUR tactics.
I've got a feeling half of the support for this thread is coming from frustrated snipers who would like people to stand still and run in a straight line :P
If they changed it so a shot to the FOOT did the same as a shot to the HEAD, they would stop jumping.
I think jumping and shooting is more difficult. So props to the bunny hoppers for making people cry.
Let's see. Shotguns, Cloak, Infectors, and now Jumping. I think next on the list is Sprinting.
If they are bad without bunny hopping... And you say they are bad by bunny hopping. So what is the problem, you should be able to kill them with no problem.
You can simply make it so your bloom goes through the roof while jumping you can't hit the broadside of a barn while jumping.
Anyone who think they should be able to jump around like a ******* and maintain any form of accuracy is a child/insane/delusional.
Now I understand this game is no where near realistic but then again not many shooters are these days. The ability to roll, jump or spin and maintain any semblance to accuracy is something brought on by halo, cod etc.
IMO those games ruined shooters more then helped it. Yes they sold millions of copies but the detriment they caused in modern shooters far out weighs any benefit they brought.
None of what you said is true you can learn to accuratly shoot while jumping proffesional paintball players do it all the time. You assume no one else can in real life because of your own limitations. Games like halo did not ruin shooters people complaining about how others play do however. Its easier to accuratly shoot a sniper rifle in real life without using sights than most weapons because of its length. But because people complaining that you shouldn't be able to in games they make hip fire on snipers really inaccurate.
