You feel that's impressive and you aren't a bit disappointed by 1 pursuit per episode thus far?

That, I did not say. Not saying I'm disappointed either though. Would prefer actual episodes, but that clearly isn't going to happen.

guys.. there can only be so much "cross over" for content atm.. since many of the major characters are on OPPOSITE SIDES of what remains of the continent.. with highways assuredly gone, travel would take a LONG time.. not counting the nameless hazards.

That is what i was trying to explain to many here, that there won't be new playable episode missions for a while, because what we did with Nolan and Irisa is what we had for this season. And they closed and deleted the thread even if it was a good discussion.

    And yes i agree 100%.
People need to be patient regarding the interactive content as playable episodes.

I don't even think there will be a series 2 of this show, The fact that its on a Monday (us) Tuesday (EU) shows us that its lacking what would be classed as a prime time slot (friday saturday sunday) And most the show's that have been on the non prime time slots usually get axed due to unpopularity, With the series slowly declining in viewing numbers ALREADY it make's me think that this game unless something very very drastic happens is doomed to fail

It's already picked up for a second season. After that though, who knows...

You might want to inform Syfy of that, then, since they are counting 13 official episodes but 12 broadcasting weeks. The 2-hour pilot was counted as two episodes from Syfy. Which, incidentally, is not uncommon anymore.

I'm wondering if has to do with the SAG. When I worked in television, the actors got paid an agreed upon salary for a certain number of episodes. The issue, though, was that the studio/network could toss in the occassional 2-hour episode of a normally 1-hour episode series, and the actors did not get additional pay.

I'm curious if the SAG fixed that little issue in recent years. Which would be why studios/networks are more commonly counting a special 2-hour episode as two episodes: twice the contracted per-episode-pay for that episode.

It has already been renewed for a second season... so there goes your theory, right down the toilet drain...

Production does not mean filming, by any stretch. Production does often begin in television without a 100% commitment of a next season. Production involves a hell of a lot of phases that take place before the serious money is committed to sets, location permits, actors, and actual filming.

I've shared personal/professional experience on this very topic from my work on Highlander: The Series in another post.

But to give a quick example here: my mother and brother love the new Dallas series. They called and asked me if there would be a Season 3, so I decided to do some research. As it stands, there is already writing done for Season 3 (Patrick Duffy discussed a few of the angles the show plans to explore), and even some preliminary casting calls for new characters.

However, TNT has not yet committed to a third season. Patrick Duffy even openly admitted that while he is optimistic, and loves the storyline plans and what production has done so far, they have not yet been told if there will be a third season. TNT has yet to commit and order any episodes.

So, if it's been stated by Syfy that a Season 2 has been ordered, that would be fantastic. But no official word has come down the pipe yet. Don't assume they have just because of production. From all I've read, a season has yet to be ordered and confirmed.

Here is a link from within the past day (http://www.airlockalpha.com/node/963...-defiance.html) talking about how a co-developer has departed the show, and begins with If Syfy brings Defiance back for a second season . . .

Here is another article that states while likely Defiance will get a Season 2, it isn't confirmed: http://www.deadline.com/tag/syfy/, also dated from yesterday.

Do I want it to get renewed? Yes! Has Syfy actually done so yet? No.

They are tired to the show. Some may not look like they are but they are. This week was the first episode to show off the Hellbugs. We got contracts and pursuits related for Hellbugs. We had the Festival from the first episode play a part for us in the game. So its there, some directly from the show or related to an aspect from the show. Now as for Episode Mission, mostly everyone here misunderstands how they are going to be put into the game. WE ARE NOT suppose to get Episode Missions every week. When an episode has a cross over and same goes from the game side. You will know. So far, there hasn't been any cross overs that would work as an Episode Mission. We will see one extremely soon though. That character we saw in last nights episode. Rynn i believe her name was, keep an eye on her. ;).

Ya I could of sworn I saw her in one of the trailers for the video game :) *Shows Ark Hunter pointing a gun at a female NPC and the female NPC drops her weapon*

This cross over is the weakest yet. I must have missed the scene where the doctor/scientist talked about Hellbugs having elemental attacks that could put you on fire; or the scene where Nolan (who obviously knew enough about them) warned the team as they descended the mine to be wary of such dangers.

It was there. Nolan looks at the screen and reminds everyone to shoot each bug at least once to ensure proper credit is received.

DVD is going to have outtakes where Nolan forgets it's voice activated and complains about his hemorrhoids on an open channel.

Well I'm sure Nolan has had his far share of Encounters with hellbugs. After all, what do you do with him in there very first Episode Mission? While defending the Arkfall, killing Hellbugs :D

Thus far those impressions are looking incorrect, and that irritates me.

Feel free to quote some random article or interview, and criticize those with such impressions as fools making assumptions and not doing their research. But Trion seems to be content to not explain otherwise, and their advertising certainly pushes the view along.

At this point I feel misled, and I know I'm not alone.

I feel the exactly the same way....
