Yeah I will probably go PC because of the graphics.

Xbox is actually the most popular, going by the amount of threads & posts on the forums, & the preorder totals of the games.
Go with PC if you have it hooked up to your TV or you are fine playing at a desk. You can use a keyboard or controller on PC, both work great. Check the latest betas and make up your mind that way.
It should be. With PC you don't have to pay for multiplayer privilege (there by making it P2P in my mind (XBox gold, not sure on PS3 though)), and you can still play with a controller if you want.
I'd wait until after the beta for the 360 to decide whether or not it will work out well on that console. I mean no MMO has been done on 360, but that doesn't mean this game won't work well on that console. PC would be a decent choice as well. PS3 doesn't have the market in the americas like xbox does and I'm not sure how popular the syfy channel is in europe, but in europe I believe there are more ps3 players than xbox 360 players. America is the only place where xbox360 install base is greater than the ps3.
Also the ps3 has had xplatform with stream before via portal 2 so if they did that then pc would still be an excellent choice.
Also I prefer gaming on a console (ps3) but have been considering getting this game for PC
Didn't they say it would be possible to merge all platforms so everyone could play together? But the problem was that like, Sony and Microsoft don't want to allow it (due to competition stuff).
I'm not familiar with Portal 2, but did I understand correctly that ps3 players could play with PC players in the co-op? If yes, that's awesome and could mean Ps3 and PC players could meet in the future...
Your all forgetting if you really wanted a keyboard and mouse on the PS3 for controls or the Xbox 360 you could connect one and use it, and it would not affect how the game works. Or at least I suspect you can, I know you can with the 360 and I was under the impression same with the PS3
I'll stick with Keyboard and mouse i know controller is better. Heck if i can play dark souls with keyboard and mouse this should be easy to master
Honestly, the first few months will be booming right across the board. However, I know I am personally going with PC because well..console gamers (especially ones that enjoy their shooters) they'll pick up a game play the crap out of it, then dump it for the new toy that comes out.
There are a lot of great games coming out for PS3/XBOX and console gamers will be no doubt buying and playing those for the most part. I remember playing MAG when it came out for PS3. It was an online massive multiplayer first person shooter. It was AWESOME....for the 1st few months. Then of course new shooters came out like BF3, or the new CoD and everyone jumped ship.
So basically larger maps that called for 256 players to be queued at once ..good luck getting into that. It's dead, and it was dead just after a year.
Console players..I like them, but when it comes to MMOs, I do not wanna be stuck with a half empty game that I purchased with the thought in mind that this would be a long term commitment. xP
If Keyboard and mouse is not better then a controller. Then why did pc player dominated xbox players in Shadowrun?
Xbox is the best console? Seem Trion thinks xbox has the best suckers. hehehe Have fun paying almost double price on DLC. Do not believe me. Here check this out. https://www.defiance.com/en/dlc/xbox-360/. Hehehe That 66 dollars for the DLC pass. What do not believe me. Here you go. http://www.xbox.com/en-SG/Xbox360/Ac...ve3200mspoints.
Lol the funny thing is. If the xbox community would stop and thing. They would notice they could by like 4 pc for the extra money they been paying for the last 8 years that pc/ps3 do not have to pay. Lol Suckers.
Lol yea it is sorta true what you say. They can be suckers. Then you can also look at it this way, personal preference. The two consoles cater to different types of people.
I went with a PS3 because it was best for me personally. I personally do not have the money to waste on games every month just to talk to my friends over the electronic equipment of my choice. An xbox gamer can argue to me all day that xbox has more games, and chat functions...but it wouldn't make much of a difference. The games I am interested in were all on PS3, and I'm not a huge console gamer so it doesn't matter to me that I can't buy all hundreds of games available. I also bought ps3 in mind that I could get blu-ray all in one, which definitely saved me money when they began releasing movies in that format. If you ever rent movies anymore, sometimes blu-ray is all they have for a new movie that comes out, and I was covered.
If people have the extra money to throw away on trivial stuff like games 24/7, all the power to them. However, not everyone wants to blow their money away at every chance they get. Lol Doesn't make the consoles better than each other in general. Only better for that person who prefers them.
Lol yea its pretty much purely preference.
I know my bf he has both consoles, because his dad gave him the xbox for free. So he figured why not? Lol It had a series on xbox that he liked that was only available there so now he can play that too xP When it comes down the quality, the real deal breaker will be what TV do you own? haha cause xbox/ps3 are literally the same except they offer different features.
Yes that's a good point (consolers don't have patience to play one game, mmo for example) as I, unfortunately, am one of those kinds. Although I seem to be better than average in almost all games I play, I guess this is possible due to switching games (and genres) quite often. But I can be commited to a game if it's good enough.
Also like I've said in other thread Defiance has a huge advantage in Buy 2 Play and not having monthly subscription. This way it's better for consolers as they buy it, play it like all the other games and some switch to new game and some stay BUT those who switch have a great chance on coming back and having good time again!
Wow, I just couldn't leave that last sentence alone.
Really? Consoles are for children? I don't see any 8 year olds walking into their local game store alone plopping down several hundred in cash or writing a check for the console of their choice. That kind of remark is just ignorrant and reaks of no intelligence, no need for it here. I have all three platforms and will be spiltting my time on PC and 360 versions of Defiance, I preordered the 360 version because i have many friends on XBL getting too.
Consoles are for kids, And no an 8 year old can't buy them because they have no job there parents buy them, IDK about you but my little bro and sis are in middle school and ever kid has a console and no gaming PC where as in high school, collage and up a lot of people don't have consoles but do have gaming PC's. Plus why do they sell consoles in toy stores but not gaming PC's then? Because consoles are toys made for kids. That's why kids toy stores carry consoles and why in alot of general merchandiser stores they place the consoles in or near the kids sections.
You just can't stop... We get it, you have a gaming PC and you love it, it's good for you and Consoles are not for you. You realize people are different? Saying consoles are for kids, you also say it like it's only for kids? Well people in my friend list (100) are 16+ or they have really mature voices for kids...
Gaming pc is more complex than a console so that's why there's no gaming pc's in toy stores but I can assure you that ps3 and xbox 360 are NOT made for kids... Sure kids can use them and have no problems but so can adults too... Myself, I like gaming but I have no intrest in updating my computer just to play games and I also like Dualshock 3. There's more reasons I have a console and not a pc but not listing now until you demand
LOL I have every console and a great PC. I always own every console because exclusivity really bothers me . If I didn't have a ps3 I wouldn't be able to play gems like the Uncharted series, Heavy Rain and
God of War. If I didn't have an xbox I wouldn't be able to play Halo or gears of war. I will no doubt get a Wii U in the future, when the next zelda game comes along. I really don't see the point in sticking with one platform. Having said that ,when I play mmo's or multiplayer games I usualy stick with the Pc. I also stick with the PC version if it's a good port.
Consoles aren't made for kids, they are made for the person that wants to game on a very...very...very low budget. With console games everyone is on an even playing field (Except for internet speed), where on PC gaming you got different levels of gamers.
PC Gamer Levels
1. Casual- These PC gamers spend between 300-600 on a prebuilt PC that is made to do light to moderate gaming.
2. Enthusiasts- These PC gamers spend 800-1500 on a custom built PC that is able to play just about any game that comes out with medium-Ultra settings.
3. EXTREME ENTHUSIASTS- These PC gamers spend between 2000-8000 on a custom built PC. They tend to upgrade their PC's often and always have the newest and fastest components so they can run their games with 150+ FPS on all max settings on any game that comes out EVER!!!! These rich crazy bastards have the means to do what the Enthusiasts wish they could do.
Now let me break down the types of console gamers...yes there are multiple types of these as well.
1.The Kid- The kid is someone who can't make any money of their own because they are in school. The kid depends on the parent/parents or extended family to provide him/her with the means to game. This gamer tends to ask for things on holidays or birthdays to meet his/her gaming needs.
2. The Rich Kid- The rich kid is someone who depends on his/her parents to meet his/her gaming needs the same as "The Kid" but the main difference is the rich kid has every video game that comes out for all the consoles that currently exist.
3. The Casual Gamer- The casual gamer just started gaming and has fun with it, he/she bought a 2nd hand xbox or ps3 from craig's list or kijiji for next to nothing. This gamer tends to not really care about winning or losing but rather just enjoy's the experience. This gamer also tends to just rent his/her games because it is a cheaper way to play the games he/she wants.
4. The Adult Veteran Gamer- The adult veteran gamer grew up playing video games and loves gaming. Since he/she is an adult and has a job, he/she can buy the games that he/she wants. This type of gamer has been gaming for a while and is pretty good at many types of games. He/She hasn't ever had an interest in PC gaming because he/she looks at the amount of money needed to invest into a decent gaming rig isn't a high priority. The Adult veteran gamer has more important things to spend his/her money on (I.E. A Wedding,Children,Rent,Vehicle,Student Loans, Birth Control, Mcdonalds....ect.)
It's just so hard for humans to think themselves in someone else's position. And realize that if I like something it doesn't mean everyone should. My opinion is right, only for myself, other people have their own opinions too.
There's too much stupidity in humans... Humans will kill themselves. WAAAYYYY before sun runs out of juice... Will it be either killing each other or killing our planet.
But there's still good humans too... I feel bad for Voltans to end up in Earth.
Buck up camper!
The Voguns will be here soon to put an expressway through, and all of our problems will be over.
Ok then let me rephrase that, The majority of people that play consoles are kids. And 16 is still considered a kid in the US. Your not technical an adult until your 18 or at least that's why I go by since you can't vote or buy guns are really anything until your 18. And why do people keep thinking it's hard to run a PC? I built my about 2 years ago and have not upgraded or really done anything besides put windows 8 on it. There not really much req to run a gaming PC its just a reg PC with a ton more power. I remember a statistic sheet a website did a year or 2 ago that even stated most PC gamers are 25-40 where as most of your console players were somewhere in the low teen to about in the mid 20's.
How could Keyboard and mouse be harder to master when most shooters started on the PC, people act like Xbox invented the shooter, might I point out that Microsoft had nothing to do with it. And that they used a mouse and Keyboard long before the Xbox was even dreamed up and the controls for most shooters on most systems if anything mimic the mouse and keyboard as best they can, which is why people complained about the Wii controller for so long the whole wave point and pull trigger thing was even worse then the duck hunt gun which you could say was in fact one of the first shooters but it was not a true shooter in the sense most of us know them for.
Well that's funny- my mother who is in her 50s also thinks computers are mostly for children if you use it for social media (like this forum) play any sort of games, etc etc etc she considers our lot, people with no lives.
Gosh, I should hope you have a life? I know I do, but that's just me.
smh @ PC Elitists. they're desperately funny, now that I am on the other side of the fence.
Why clearly by good sir, you've obviously never played the original Operation: Wolf!

(Yes, I'm actually kidding with you...)
Now, let us all take a fond moment to reminisce the good ol' days in a happy little flashback shall we? *Hides the acid* :o
(EDIT: On a side-note, am I the only one that recalls playing this game literally for hours then walking away while your fingers still jittered and you could swear you were being electrocuted somehow!?)
