Going to pickup Dead Island Riptide today, anyone played yet? Thoughts? Getting bored in defiance need something to play until they get it together...
Havent played it yet but it does look interresting.
In the zombie department i am more awaiting state of decay(class 4) and dayz sa.
In the case of Defiance i think i played a tad to much so i have been on break for 2 days.
Playing some indie stuff,if you like horror and old sneslike graphs but with very good story i reccommend Madfather.
Its free and takes about 3 hours to play trough ,great story a bit puzzeling and weird stuff.
Also already bought Fez on steam for 1 may.
And playing some Dont starve in wich off i already died.
Btw main reason for Defiance stop atm is that with the hacking PvP is utter bs so.
Hope you find a good game and enjoy it or lets hope Trion fixes the mess.
I never finished the first one, but it did seem pretty cool. I'll probably hold off on this though cause I have a huge backlog already.
As for Defiance, I wouldn't mind grinding out pursuits to try and 100% Season 1 but it's pointless when some are bugged and reset like the PvP ones, some can't even be done like Freight Yard, and of course the rampant hacking and imbalanced PvP.
I'm to the point in my pursuits where if they don't fix the game soon I will have nothing to do cause every objective I have left is broken or has been removed from game but is still a pursuit requirement :(
I actually still have most of the side missions in San Fran to do, but once that's done, I'm down to grinding pursuits so I can definitely see the game getting tedious at that point but there will be some new content for next week's episode.
Id forget about Dead Island Riptide so far theres been only bad and not so bad reviews. All the reviews share the same main content, its the same game as the first but on a different island. Nothing special.
That's... disappointing. Did they at least make melee combat a little more fun and varied? I didn't play the first much but I do remember the melee combat being the same thing every time.Quote:

I'm playing Injustice. It's easy to get away from the forums especially when all you see is the same threads over and over again. I'll happily wait for Sony and Trion to get their act together.:cool:
Dead Island: Riptide is just more of the same.
If you enjoyed the first one, then you'll enjoy the new one as well.
They honestly haven't done much to it though.
Just don't go in to it expecting it to be groundbreaking.

picking it up today. loved the first one.
Well I did get dead island riptide and like people say its a copy of the first one on a new island with some new skills for the original characters and a new character who specializes in hand 2 hand. If you like the 1st as I did you will enjoy this but it's like it should have just been an expansion pack for the 1st game. I can see how some might think this is boring and old, but I never tire of killing zombies in a open tropical world haha!
Riptide is great. Much better then the first and if you choose you can start riptide with your character from the first ...itll carry it over with all stats and levels from the get go. Also theres new combat mechanics and you can drive little pontoon motor boats around when you hit a certain point. If your on ps3 add me, veracLty
Not to mention its in 1080p on ps3 which us ps users dont see much of anymore with the 720p developing trend
Not sick of Defiance. I'm loving it actually. I am taking a small break for Rip Tide though. I love the Dead Island series. I will be back within a few days though!!!
