How I've been having fun after the "end game"
*Full disclosure: I haven't beaten the main boss yet but I'm pretty close. I understand this fight can take several hours so I'm holding off until I have a large amount of free time to handle it.*
In the mean time I've found a pretty fun way to pass the time in the game without farming Arkfalls and pursuits which I tend to find poorly designed and more of a chore than anything. I perform "Road Patrol". I've been going around the map looking for people who are solo'ing areas and either perch myself on a bluff overlooking the action and snipe enemies to help out or I just run full on into the area guns blazing and lend a hand. After listening to the latest Game Informer podcast and hearing how excited they were when this happened I decided to dedicate a portion of my free time to doing this. It's fun, other players don't seem to mind the help and it's a good way level up skills. I just wish all the shy players out there would unmute their mic's and at least offer a heads up but whatever, I'm having fun anyway so there's that. I might try and set up a clan where all we do is go around helping solo's.

one problem with doing that contracts for say kill such a such do not seem to give u them anymore unless u have dmged the enemy so u may actually be making someones contract last longer than it should well at least thats what was happening to me on last nights contracts

Well that's good that you feel like you're helping people out.

But what makes you think that people are shy because they're not using a mic?

I like doing this as well. Perched up on a hilltop with a sniper overlooking the action is a lot of fun.

Well, I could very well be wrong with that assumption. Why do you think no one uses area chat that much?
And @Jackaleffect didn't think of that, I've just been trying to find some reason to keep playing this game. I've been pretty much on the fence deciding whether or not I should sell it. Amazons giving a bonus of $20 on used game trade ins and I could get just about what I paid for Defiance with that deal. Going around joining random solo's was seriously one of the only things that made me think this game might be worth sticking around for but if I'm stepping on feet here I might just rethink that.

like i said it was just happening to me on last nights contracts it might of been a bug or its something trion decided to add and as for the not many people talking its because of the party chat most people just use that while talking to friends sadly :(

I highly doubt you're stepping on anyone's feet by doing what you're doing. It's actually pretty damn nice of you, considering most people will just drive on by someone who may or may not be having a difficult time.

I wondered what that pink dot was above my emergency and why the Blacklung died so fast, thanks for the help if that was you, I'll be sure to pay it forward when I level up my Sniper Rifles.

If it's any help, I break the boredom by leveling my Runners (again), leveling my 'difficult to level' weapons, grind xp and farm loot just by driving round the same circuit of road just south of Iron Demon Ranch and clearing every emergency I arrive at. It's kinda reassuring that sometimes there's a guardian angel watching over me too :)

That last fight, Nim, is not hard at all, does not take several hours, if it does you are doing something wrong. Just get a good BMG that does around 400 dmg and 300 heal and your good to go. He has 3 phases, the last one is the easiest. Just roll and jump alot, i beat him on my first try at 3 in the morning, i usually go to bed like 10, just i was pretty wiped out and still managed to beat him.

Everybody whines about him, it's in fact really easy.

Pursuits have been my main saving grace. Unfortunately with all of my kill count related objectives constantly resetting boredom and frustration is starting to set in pretty deep here. Plus the PvP in this game does next to nothing for me and since I'm waiting for the DLC race before creating a new character all I have left are achievements, side quests for mods/experience I don't want and restarting the main story. The latter of which may defeat the purpose of a new character altogether.
