Hey guys -
We're finalizing scripts for future Across the Badlands - did you make something awesome (or know someone who made something awesome) that you want to see featured on our Fan Find of the Week?
Post it here and tell us why it deserves to be on air!
Im confused, do you mean real-life creation like carving a pumpkin or making a cake that looks like a VOT Pulser?
Or find something in-game like a taco bell sign or a mutant couple and their kid poking a normal person and treating it like a pet?
Be more descriptive for gods sake...Director of Misinformation might be your new name if you cant think up a few examples of what your looking for.
Well my brother and myself walked all the way from where the tutorial ended and the open world began. All the way to Iron Demon ranch. Then we walked all the Way from Iron Demon Ranch to San Quentin. After Hitting up San Quentin we walked all the way to The consulate. From there we headed to Top notch Toolworks. After Toolworks we walked all the way to the Bug and chug.
Then when we saw the Golden gate we had to stop. We had planned on walking from the Tutorial end point all the way to the bay bridge.
We did this just to say we did it. The walk from the tutorial end point all the way to the golden gate took 3 hours following the main roads. No shortcuts and not cutting across terrain. Just following the main roads to specific points. And taking a few minute breaks every now and then to cut the boredom that sometime set in.
Edit. On a side note people don't realize this map is freaking huge. Well since people get their first vehicle after a couple mission in. Get off the roller and the runners and walk somewhere you'd be surprised at how huge this map is.
Edit #2. Also I'm forgetting that we also did every emergency we ran across. Which wasn't many.

In-game Feedback, Bug Report, and Support Desk Tutorial
Over the last few weeks, the first week in particular, a lot of players were asking how to report a bug, submit feedback and didn't even know you could submit a trouble ticket in-game. After answering quite a few threads, I decided to make a Tutorial Walkthrough on how to do it.
I did the same thing with the Raptr Q&A from last week to answer all the questions people kept starting threads about, cutting and pasting 100+ Questions from Players and the Answers from the Dev's.

They aren't anything special, but I think they help out new forum and defiance players.
Amber Fae's Newbie FAQ's is an amazingly helpful thread as well. It's the closest thing we have to a manual at this point. In my opion.

Actually.. I think the coolest thing I've seen a lot of people make are their Defiance signatures. I haven't really seen anything else physically made yet, at least not anything that's "show worthy"
Now.. having a set of characters for next season that just "walk" from San Fran to Defiance.. in honor of the feat performed by Tango80 and his brother.. now that would be cool :) Granted.. since your talking like 1800 miles or so.. that's why I said next season.
However.. if the community managers are going to hold contests like this, perhaps some heads up would be a good thing, so the players know to actually keep their eyes open for stuff.

Was trying to get the 1080 degree pursuit done there, but only managed the 720 one.
Hmm if (and when)they do open up new areas and the length of the trip is roughly that in real life I might do it. Dunno about my brother. However My brother and myself well we need to revisit the whole walking thing again. Not accomplishing that walk completely is kinda bleh in my books. If you start something best finish it up.Quote:

I made this little critter to sit on my desk. Messed up the painting quite a bit, as it is sculpting rather than painting that I am good at, but it turned out okay. Might try and do a sculpture of one of the show's characters at some future point. Not sure it deserves to be on air, but wanted to share anyhow :)

They are starting to get some good in character content. It is providing another level of immersion. Good music as well. It will only get better the more people join in, and participate.
Hmmmm I get no music - and their playlist hardly looks Votan! =)

nevermind - chrome didnt like it. Works good - and its actually pretty cool.
Hate to say it, but honestly the only two that stand out so far are the guys at KTAM radio, which is a really great fan made site & the ever industrious forum member Taaltos..thats guys ALWAYS got answers or knows where they can be found.
Either/both are rightfully deserving of recognition i think :)
Anything criticizing the game is instantly ruled out, right?
I understand some players found weapon damage data on their hard drives... :p

Not sure if this will designate as fan fare but I am making a role playing clan for defiance that focuses on the lore of the world and make events pertaining to that. Here is my recruitment vid. Yes its very bad but i had fun making it, until there is a no hud option I cannot really record episodic like vids but hope you all enjoy it for at least what my clans lore will be going for and expect more to come the most I can do right now is audio logs so look forward to those when I post them up

This is a screenshot of our clan. TAW. The Art of Warfare. We were walking from the New Freedom crash sight down to the Bug and Chug killing everything in our path when we stopped to take a screenshot. The screenshot actually caught the bullets mid flight!!!! looks awesome.

Of course this was the poor fellows last screenshot as you can see at least one of the bullets is going to hit him. His Funeral was awesome also!!!!
Emphasis on the most completion gained (EGO level, pursuits, and skill levels in sum) in 18 days playtime.
All done in 18 days, no boosts, no group grinding on places or anything. Not much repetitive grinding, did a lot of arkfalls, sieges, co-op maps, PvPs, dailies, and emergencies.
Unlocked all of the costumes except the one with the 50 hours of PvP playtime. Did all the 5000 kills for every weapon needed, started with bolt action.
As a committed member of our clan SikNation, I also participate in helping our new clanmates out with dailies, helping in completing their story missions, etc. and participating in the forum topics.
Total estimated serious grinding - 10 days playtime, more or less.

Hey everyone, Shwartz here from the clan Freemasons. Something I believe would be a nice "fan find of the week" would be our new community events that our clan will be hosting.
We are just starting this up, but we will be hosting weekly/bi weekly events for all Defiance players on the 360 in the NA servers. Our events will include contests (PVP, racing, co op maps, and ark falls) where you can win prizes such as in game weapons/currency as well as Microsoft points and arcade games. We will also mix in community help and farming events where members of our clan will help anybody who wants to participate get some of the various pursuits in the game, such as data recorder run throughs, co op maps, and more!

We also now have an official page on our clan site for Community Events HERE.
The purpose of these events is to promote the MMO and social aspects of the game while also having fun working on the pursuits and winning prizes! All players, regardless of skill, ego, or clan affiliation are encouraged to join in. Soon we will have an official events page on our clan site, but for now all details can be found in the forum in the "Xbox 360 general discussion".
We hope to see all of you fellow ark hunters at these events! We will be having a huge tournament next month, although the specific details are currently under wraps until the time for the event draws near.
