Semi Auto or Bolt Action?

I love the bolters personally. They will espicially be better for you when getting used to sniping. They are a good blend between semi auto and bolt action and you can kill garbage mobs much quicker then a regular bolt action. You can get bolters with 1.3 fire rate and 3.5 crit multiplier and they have over 1k damage.

i use bolt action. i also use a bolter.

i like some pistols i got a wolverine (i think that's it) that does about 530 damage and shoots burst fire. its probable one of my best guns.

Bolt Action and a pistol works towards a combat pursuit. I don't the semiautomatic does.

I really normaly salvage those but after this post I am going to try them out.

My Voltan Bolter crits at 3150 or so. I tend to use it at arkfalls to remove hellion arms. I am just not getting enough use out of it because of the tendency for other enemies to shoot and hit me at the same distance I can barely hit them.

That makes the semi-auto a better deal most of the time, since I don't need a crit if I can make solid contact 4 or 5 times. I just modded a purple one that came from a lock box (first good drop in a bunch of boxes) with the 'splat' damage magazine I got plus a barrel and a stock. Not adding the slot for a sight, maybe once all other weapons I need fixing get their share of salvage. I think 33,000+ to add a slot is darn excessive, but until the box drops come with a complete set, I have to make do...

I had used a regular bolt action, and found that in Shadow Wars, more often than not I am being ganked by some cloak/shotgunner, or someone with an assault rifle with an.. I assume acid nano.

My Bolt action all modded Purple VOT Bolter acts like a semi auto sniper with it's reload, plus it has great stats. Love it. Been using it since day 1.

If your using cloak then bolt action all the way, there's a skill that gives you 30% damage from the first bullet you fire from cloaked so it stacks with bolt actions perfectly coz by the time your ready to fire again your recloaked.

I got a 1,290 + fire damage bolt action with a 4 crit multiplier, add on the 30% damage skill and you got some amaizing big numbers!

Also as your killing with crits mostly you never run out of ammo vs the semi.

Get the right perk set up and you can still one hit crit kill many enemies with the semi auto. That being said, I do prefer bolt

Not at my Xbox atm but from what I remember, the pursuits group up as:

Decoy --- LMG / Detonator (5) / BMG (10)
Cloak --- Bolt / Pistol (5) / Semi-Auto (10)
Overcharge --- AR / SMG (5) / (not sure, I think infector)
Blur --- All shotguns, can't remember Reqs or orders though
