Argh I just hate this Trion World edit.

I gotta say no-way this can be sub based, mainly because console players havent never paid sub. I really think B2P + shop. Even bigger reason to do B2P right and get money from CEs etc.

It's B2P+Freemium. You buy the box (probably $60) and can either sub and get all the DLC or buy it piece by piece. I'd imagine they'll also have some kind of cash shop.

There has been console Sub based games on the consoles for a while more like every since the GameLine on the 2600, there was also the xband, sega channel and the super famicom's Satellaview. However it is more common in the NTSC-J market than it is in the NTSC-U and PAL regions. Console Online RPG subs have dated back to 2000 for the NTSC-J market with Phantasy Star Online Ver1,in 2001 NTSC-U market with Phantasy Star Online Ver2, and lastly PAL market with Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2 in 2003. Some of the NTSC-J Sub based games include various version of Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1&2&3/Universe, Monster Hunter Series, Dragon Quest X, Final Fantasy XI(Which the next expansion pack might very be the last PS2 game released), Front Mission Online. In the NTSC-U there is Final Fantasy XI(on PS2 and 360), Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1&2&3/Universe(DC,Xbox,GCN,360 all of which are shutdown), Everquest Online Adventures(shutdown), DCUO(switched to a hybrid model now)

It can be SUB, It can happen, it might so be ready
The next Gen systems, are going to do away with used games. You will have to use a key to unlock your game. This is for both the PS4 and 720, this is so that the people making the games that take all the risk in making the game get there money. With that said, you will have to buy every game you want to play new. To help, there will be a cloud, that you can Sub to. In this you can play old games from the X-box or PS3 or when it hits a set sell, or after a year the new games will show up on there. This is what will be, how we play games from now on. This will say let you DLC new games for like 24 hours or a week so you know if you want to buy it. Then buy the key and be on your way.

You can sub this game b/c in a year that will be the new way to play.

With that said, who knows you could get a comic book in the mail, or a syfy mag.

It can be subbed and will be if done right, b/c F2P will go the way of the PC and the next gen will have Sub for there old games and new demos.

It could be by the hour or day, it could be buy FPS or Sports games. Could even be a Capcom sub or Bandi type sub. This game would be easy to patch over to the next gen systems so to have a sub would not be out of the question.

If you don't think you will pay a sub for a game just b/c it is not on a PC, you will not like what happens next. No more used games, every next gen game that comes out will need DLC to make it worth the cost of the now 70-80 bucks you will pay, that you can't get any money back from. They know this, so they can come with free sub time one free DLC pack. Same can be said for this game. If you have a Sub for a set time you get pick up free DLC or even Sub time.

It can happen, so it might so be ready.
