So I must be missing some part?
I'm at 1200+ in ego rating and I just cant seem to find what to do whenever I log in to the game any more. All quests are done, tried and retried all the speed trials etc. co-op matches all done and lets be honest, we just do them because the contract force us into them, right?

PvP was alot of fun until you get insanely bored (15+ hours) with the two maps and the fact you have to use shotgun if you want to be performing without feeling you are not contributing at the level you know you can.

Shadow War is just bleh... At first I thought "Shadow War - GREAT! now I can actually play PvP without runing around with a damn shotgun" So I go into my sniper mode to only realize that the range you are able to see people and snipe them is as long as you can see with a normal Assault Rifle... What a sniper... yeah!

Arkfalls is just mindless shooting until you getr +5 key's and redo until you can buy lockbox level 3 only to get some more wepons to salvage or feel like blä about.

So what does the rest of you guys do when playing? Please help me out becouse I really really want this game to have something in it that wont make me look for other games already:(

I suppose just wait for the new episode pursuits to come out as new episodes of the show premier until they decide to add more content to the games story line? I recently just finished the current story line and I do somewhat share your sentiments. At first I was eager to log on to find out what would happen next but now that I've killed Nim I'm just logging on to finish up side quests that I was too lazy to do previously and do contracts to get more rep. Though I've lost some of my eagerness I'm not at your level of boredom yet though I most likely will be once I've completed everything you have. Here's hopping we don't have to wait ages to see more exciting/interesting content released :)

Hopefully the next episode patch will have a little more to it than a couple of additional pursuits and 4 new mini-events. The last update was pathetic. I understand that they were busy trying to fix all of the issues that they neglected in beta, but when the hardest part of a patch is FINDING the new content then something is horribly wrong.

They should have the episode missions in the game

I agree, the episode missions would be much more fun if they were actual missions and not pursuit quests for finding data recorders and killing a certain number of mobs etc. just like they did when they introduced Nolan and Irrisa

I was mainly interested in the game as an MMO and since the chat in this game is garbage, and I spent 15 minutes today listening to some one's wife/sister/daughter/mother scream obscenties at some one over the area voice chat... I mean come one, if ya got that going on in the background, mute yer ****. Mainly I treat it as a casual game. Log in, do an arkfall or two, chase down a main mission quest, a couple side quests, maybe an emergency, then forum troll for a bit. =P

Yeah, I was hoping this would be the MMO I played for a long time. At 1100 Ego and have did almost every mission and side mission, almost to the point of defeating the last guy, lost many weapons due to known bugs, scripted messages from "help", and when I see Sledgehammer congratulating cheaters getting to the 5000 Ego mark I get to the point that this game is messed up for a least months.

Is there even really a MMO style game that can go the distance any more. I haven't played one in years and years that actually is something i will play for a long stretch. WHICH SUCKS.....

What i think most about is why the hell these companies these days don't and won't get it done. Seems like if the community on the whole was more selective about what they would pay for they might be forced to do a better job.

But how can you do a good job on such a massive under taking when you obviously have finite resources and some Corporate board looming and demanding you roll their product out to market and MAKE MONEY BACK NOW!

Neat as i feel this game is, i know its gonna be relegated to a spot on my hard disk that isn't free space after a month or two at most. Oh well, i liked Rift alot too!

I'm at 710 and bored. Main and Side missions done... I haven't tried the PvP shotgun-fest-o-rama much... maybe I'll try Co-Op but its still a bit boring... maybe I need to join a casual clan or something... dunno. It's kinda depressing to start a game excited and a few weeks later like bleh... like I spent 2 weeks doing what??

i power game mmos, i was done with every story/side quest in 4 days, im over ego 2000 and have done over 60 of the pursuits, then it dawned on me, there is no progression, this game is "balanced" for pvp ill never find a better gun ill never get anything more for lvling up and theres no point in doing anything except grind for the same guns over and over with the same stats and get the same outfits in different colors, this is an mmotps (massively multiplayer online third person shooter) it has no progression youll never get stronger youll never find a gun with better stats youll never find a better shield then that one you use now. yay i found an orange gun...wait it has the same frackin stats and mod synergies as this other one ive had since lvl 20 WTF!?.....yea im pissed and i didnt even pay for the game

The reason for this is actually fairly simple: the current average age of gamers is something like 34. That means wives and husbands, full-time careers, social obligations, kids, other hobbies, etc. Most of us don't have the time to grind through these things like you guys do and have little to no desire to play a game that takes forever to complete the basic stuff. I would recommend checking out sandbox MMOs, since their content is limited but it usually takes a long time to grind anything in those games. Games in general are going to get easier, not harder. The current demographic of the market demands it because most of us are moving from "hard-core" to "casual" play styles, and there were already casual players such as myself who never played any games the way you do. There just isn't as much money to be made catering to the "hard-core" crowd anymore.

There is however a HUGE difference between a game where it takes too long to accomplish basic stuff and a game where you literally start with every advanced things.

I'd really would like to know what game you were thinking of when you said "Most of us don't have the time to grind through these things like you guys do and have little to no desire to play a game that takes forever to complete the basic stuff"

I'm having fun so far, just because I can't play a lot I guess (lack of free time), but I must agree with you: this game needs more content.
PVE needs raids, needs more loot and equip progression or at least a good carrot for the stick, I honestly don't think that just adding more of the same will make this game better, more coop maps or more arkfalls wont make the deal, they have to be better and bigger (better boss fights?) with better rewards, a rank 3 chest that gives you an orange slightly different from a green or a blue object isn't exactly a reward, most of the time they even LOOK the same, there is really no point in working so hard for them beside the fun you can have shooting at thing, but how long this will last? for the moment is still fun for me, the problem remain, more content is needed or many players will quit.
Also, harder arkfalls, give us the chance to actually FAIL them, ATM is impossible to fail an arkfall, time needed to complete it may vary but is the only variable the result wont change.
