K-TAM Radio Official Weekly Updates
Greetings and slow mutations everyone.
tl;dr version: We play good music, update lots, thank people who help and tune in, hope you tune in.
We are going to do a weekly update post about what K-TAM is doing and the content we are adding on a frequent basis and those of you who are new listeners to K-TAM an idea of what we are up to.
At the end I will list all the ways you can get in contact with us for your requests or general information.
I would like to start off with thanking the following people for their donations to help us cover the bills.
Yehlan, Arjoen, Giddion & Whitelocke.
With their support we have managed to improve our signal strength and quality with the Listen Live link on our web site. If 1 out of every 3 listeners donated $1/month we would have enough to maintain and even improve the radio, web site and prize vault. I am currently working on a 1:1 ratio where I am personally contributing dollar for dollar. At this point the donations revived paired with my own portion will cover 2 months of streaming.
K-TAM has been streaming for 1 month as of yesterday. In that time I have purchased nearly 100 songs, which currently play on the radio, from itunes based on your requests and I still have a few more to get and add to the mix.
We currently have Clan recruitment ads running for: The Tyrancy and Rush's Roughnecks.
We currently have Community promo's for: Brycegrits Xbox Youtube tutorials.
We have some evolving story line Ads and Promo's based on custom characters:
Jimm Bob, Scotty, Scrappy's Scrap Yard, Station A.I.
We try to add to their story lines when we can to keep it fresh and fun.
We have 1 contest currently running: Name the station A.I. You can vote on our Facebook Page.

I wont list everyone every week, just the new names as they get added. But I want to really thank everyone who contributes to help K-TAM grow and develop.
Music content is based primarily on requests from listeners, which is rock or various types for the most part. K-TAM in lore was a Votan hard Rock station, and I have asked for some examples but so far been told to wait for the Defiance Soundtrack to be released. No previews for K-TAM.
Tonight we will be the first Sam Skatch show, possibly a new weekly 1-2 hour show. It will start tonight at 6pm PDT and will likely replay on Wednesdays at 5pm PDT. You will NOT want to miss this show. It is an in character radio announcer show and not a talk show. However Skatch should be in our mumble chat room for the show and in character. The show is pre-recorded.
Sundays are our Open Line Show starting at 1pm PDT and is scheduled to run for 2 hours, but may go to 3 depending on how the content is moving along. This is a free for all type format where any topic is welcome, including venting, we just ask you keep it constructive. This Sunday will be titled the VENT show as the frustration with the lack of new content is palpable, as are the other game issues and I expect there to be a lot of well thought out discussions amongst our panel members and community members like your selves who wish to join us in our mumble chat. CM's and Dev's are also welcome and will be given equal opportunity to contribute to the conversation.
Monday Nights Post Defiance Episode show. We will be running this about 40 minutes after the show airs, about 8:45 pm PDT. Defiance also does a 30 minute Badlands show after the episode ends and we don't want to cut into their ratings too much and it gives us potentially more to talk about in the 1 hour post show conversation and give you a chance to refresh yourselves and collect your thoughts should you decide to join us.
We have some New Station IDs but can always use more for variety.
If you would like to know more about submitting content just e-mail us what you have, we will either play it, alter it for air play or provide you some feed back and encourage you to re-submit. It doesn't have to be great, but at least as good as what I put out.

We are adding new content... well to be honest more often than Defiance is, in an attempt to keep you engaged. We have many ideas in the works and with the help and support of those mentioned above and those of you who are new listeners to K-TAM we will have some great stuff to share and help expand the lore and story that is defiance.
I am still having no luck with finding Defiance Cards in local stores so adding K-TAM missions in game are still on hold. I can say, practice your figure 8's at the Bug and Chug. We hope to do some races over a few weekends and create our own working leader boards. (ok that's the last dig at Trion Devs).
I do want to say I really am grateful for all the support we have gotten from the Defiance community and even from a few of the Defiance staff. It is really appreciated and we at K-TAM do support you as well, but we wont shill for you just because. We will try to be honest and fair and hope you will give us something to talk about on Sunday that wont be about the lack of content or another broken patch. BTW - I still am not getting credit for the Recording at the Crater.
K-TAM is independent from Trion and is not looking for handouts or freebies (gifts accepted) I am happy to pay our way when you have a merch store for hats and t-shirts.
K-TAM is looking into a Western Canadian Def-Con get together with our local fans. We think it could be cool to meet other players in person for a social and see if we can't grow it to something larger. Like all of you we believe this game is going places, we may not agree on where... but we all know it is going...
