I like when people help out
It definitely makes San Fran easier. And if you form a group
You still share all the kills for pursuits

there is really no disadvantage to having someone help you outside of group, unless you're trying to level up weapons or you're taking a contract kill without them doing any damage. Everyone gets their own loot drops, albeit only a white or maybe blue if you're on a bigger mob sometimes. It also makes the mini-events go quicker.

Keep in mind that what comes first usually stays as a way to play the game in this case... What I mean is that we are the people who will Give this game meaning by how we play. now getting involved in this shows that it isn't a game to play alone, get involved at all times and teach others to do same..

Keep the game active and I know the in game chat doesn't make it easy but a keyboard does.. Not everyone use voice all the time.

We love seeing players like this helping and keeping the game live and active

The only way you can affect their mission is if they're trying to kill a many of one type of enemy as possible for a Contract or something similar. However as long as you're letting the other person hit a few then that shouldn't be too much of an issue. Seeing how that situation is in the minority I say jump in and help whenever you can. Whenever I'm driving around and pass by an area where a mission is going on where you're supposed to collect X number of items or activate X number of items and I see one or two diamonds filled in I know someone is in the middle of a mission. That's when I'll stop and jump in to help even if I didn't need the mission. I'm hoping people will pay it forward when good things happen to them.

Soon as another player (or more) jumps into mission area I am in; I go do something else and hope they go away. To get loot I have to get critical kills due do fact that with no luck boost and or luck perk = next to no drops of any sort. To complete goals/contracts I have to get death blows. To get good weapon exp no one else must be around. Having other players 'join in' is generally a hinderance to me than a benefit I have found...

Sadly, this game promotes solo play to the extreme.

I have not been in a single situation at all in Defiance where I need some one elses 'help'; game is hyper easy.

Does it break their mission if I click whatever in the mission and fill in one of the boxes?
Is it beyond the 'help' phase at that point and now interfering?

I'd hate for somebody to have to start over because I flipped a switch somewhere...

No it helps them finish it quicker, some players like to leave them unfinished to farm kills though sometimes.

Randomly helping people and randomly getting help is one of my favorite aspects of this game. I would like to see more varied emotes to use to communicate though. I use the "Cheer" one to say thanks, but would like one for just thanks.
