People with Steam Client BE CAREFUL!

Hi my fellow players,

I am here to warn steam users about a topic. Recently my account was suspended due to a 3rd party usage.
I wasnt using any hack programs or anything. I tried to get trion to tell me which program actually caused this so I would delete it.

They didnt give a name...

So I tried to search for what actually caused it.

If you are using Nvidia GeForce Experience, Logitech peripheral profiles, PC gamepad drivers, Pinnacle Game Profiler, Raptr, Razer Synapse, Cyborg Profiler, etc. etc. as graphic enhancer. TURN OFF THESE PROGRAMS BEFORE RUNNING DEFIANCE!

These graphic enhancers gets attached to the game client therefore trionworlds anti hack whatever thinks that you are running a major 3rd party program.

From what I gathered up ( and because of sorry, its a super top secret thing we cant tell you which program it is from my mails to trion ), Their anti hack program doesnt tells which program is actually intact, it just flags your account as 3rd party program runner.

This might end up your account getting suspended, marked and so forth.

I am just giving heads up to players,

At the moment they are most likely to suspend these players than actually hackers because of their how their detect program is running.

It's called a false-positive.

If they tell people what causes the false-positive to trigger, they're directly giving potential hackers information as to how their hack detection systems work.

The only time you'll see any dev team admit what caused a false-positive is >after< they overhauled their entire hack detection system.

If they start banning players for using things like razer synapse or precision-X or steam it would be the last straw.

I wouldn't even bother disputing it and just uninstall.

most of the people who got suspended due to this reason is mostly steam users, I have no idea why but there are tons of forum posts about this

How many PC gamers don't have steam running in the background, regardless of where they purchased the client? Pretty sure it's close to the number of people who play that don't use IE to browse the internet.

I take offense at that remark...

Just because steam makes it infinitely less of a headache to take screenshots in this game doesn't mean I use IE... :p

U clearly have not slightest idea what are u talking about.

Even my antivirus interacts with game datas more then those program, should i turn off my antivirus aswell?

meh, I won't run games thru steam anymore after all the nonsense it causes. Mine still runs in the BG but not as the launcher for Defiance.

sure why dont you run those programs for a week and we will see what happens hah?
