By the time i finished downloading this beta client, the game will be released already

Oh man, try to disable any virus-shields and/or firewalls you might be running that could be hampering bandwidth (Also be sure to check Windows Firewall). Also try doing a Google Search for "internet speed test". I tend to use the Cnet one on occasion. If you have a wireless adapter connected to a usb base-stand-cable (or laptop) you can move it around like a dousing-rod of sorts (in conjunction with a speed test) until you find the best signal.

I tried, paused my patcher, and download some random **** the speed is normal. My speed isn't that fast though, but I should get around >0.3MB/s not that crap slow 0.01MB/s!

What I'm thinking is they might be limiting their bandwidth towards Non NA traffic, allowing them to serve more people on NA which is sad for me

Oh man, wth is with this patcher. My download seemed to be going fine, said it had just a bit over an hour left. I decided that maybe I'd disable Avast virusscan just in case maybe it could go faster. As SOON as I disabled the virusscan, the patcher bar reloaded (like it does when you first start), and it looks like it started OVER again now with 6-7 hours or so to go at 400-500k/sec... about the same speed I was getting earlier. *facepalm*

I'm currently downloading at 0.57 in Australia, which is pretty much in line with my max download speed, so I don't think that's it... no idea what could be causing it. Seems like people are reporting a bunch more issues with this patcher every time I check, but mine has been working ever since the Kaspersky fix.

You know what would be ironic is if they're putting in the fixes and when they do, it restarts the download. Of course that would be insane.

I just did another download & patch. Started at 8:13AM CET and was done by 8:20. It tool about 7 minutes. And this is typically a busy time on the internet here.
[NOTE] I live in Denmark and download from Amsterdam. I've had good patch service yesterday and today. Something seems to be an issue with the North America patch site, maybe just being hammered?

The patcher DOES have resume ability. I have used it. If your patch stops, do NOT restart the download! That will give you a full download! Just click on the Defiance Beta icon to relaunch the patcher.

Keep in mind that trace route may not give you accurate information. Tracing to Trion.com may not be where the game is downloading from. With out the ip address from that server that the client is downloading from, then the information most likely will not be accurate.

Good point, just did a "netstat -a", and closest match I see is a "dal.triongames.com".

EDIT: Damn, in doing a tracert to the IP address shown in the netstat for "dal.triongames.com", it starts dying out after the 10th hop at "ldn-edge-02.inet.qwest.net".

I believe the patcher server is: update03.triongames.com/ch3-patcher/public/beta
