This is why I play Defiance.

    1. It's fun, plain and simple.
    2. I have friends to play with everyday. Never a dull moment.
    3. I haven't played 200+ hours in a month because I have a life. "Lack of content" is not an issue for me.
    4. I haven't seen as many bugs as everyone else claims.

And as do I. I have finished almost all the side missions and will go back and do the story a 2nd time. After that who knows. I am grinding up Combat Shotguns and SMGs to 20 slowly. Then plan on ARs and Snipers.

Because I like the game play, I like TPS games, I played Global Agenda for a long time and it had far-far-far less content than this game.

    edit:

I am enjoying the game... not sure why that seems so shocking to OP. There's some bad stuff but also lots of good stuff.

The biggest problem with Defiance is that different players came to the game with very different expectations. Some are shooter people. Some are MMO people. Some are RPG people. While Defiance attempts to bridge these 3 genres, it has done so with different levels of success.

When the game came out I liked shooting things and people that aren't me.

Now that it's been out a while I still enjoy shooting things and people that aren't me.

I'm no defender of this game, not at all, but i do still enjoy it a lot despite its many many many flaws and missing features, maybe because i only play it casually so i didn't yet burn through the (lets be honest) very little content (for an MMO) that this game provides.

The reason I keep playing is not only because of friends, but because of those lulzy moments where you're pinned down, dying, and it looks pretty hopeless, and then suddenly the ******y hero this world needs but doesn't deserve comes flying through in his Camaro and runs everything over, saving you in the process. Priceless.

Ive been playing pretty much everyday for the past week and a half. main quest is progressed to San Francisco, I've done mt tam and Madera pursuits. Done a little more than 1/4 of the side quests. Just broke ego 1000 last night.

For people blowing through all the content, maybe take a little break? if you like to marathon and get through all the content, you did that on purpose right?

I don't know how long it will take to finish everything, but I'm sure it will be 100+ hrs, easily more.
