What causes Arkfall kills to reset?

Does anyone have a legit answer?

I've heard it's b/c of Scrapper Arkfalls, but I've also heard it wasn't just that.

I have a friend that has his kills nearing 900 and he said he has stayed from Scrapper Falls as of late. I really want to knock this challenge out, but it's difficult considering my kills never eclipse 100.

I was able to get this challenge complete in under 5 hours, from scratch. Multigun posts some indepth steps, so I won't go into too much detail.

To avoid being the Arkfall ******bag, look for the Hellbug Destruction Arkfalls. You want to go to the most isolated crystal, as to be alone for the most time, and just smash all the skitterlings. It usually spawns five at a time. The main thing is do not damage the crystal. You can easily get 500 kills in twenty minutes.

It's best to do this late at nite so not too many people are on. Also, DO NOT fast travel to any friends who are currently in an Arkfall. My people and I feel like that causes a reset as well!

I finished both the Arkfall II and Arkfall III pursuits on Saturday. Here's the tip of the day to finish it without getting reset, if you're lucky. 1. Hop in your roller. 2. Find a hellbug arkfall. 3. Drive in circles until you have hit 2,500 kills. Voila.

going into scrapper ark falls resets it, stick to hell bug ones.

i wont do that.

i've just been sticking with hellbug arkfalls and staying outta san fran the past few hours, and just passed 200 kills. looks like it might be working...

no clue just had mine reset again , this bug is killing me . you figure by now they would have these small bugs fixed but nope

It's not that easy, there's always an order to these things, and play testing it is one of them. I would rather a patch come out late with a 0% chance of causing other bugs or glitches, than have 14 other glitches pop up. Just be patient and keep reporting bugs as you find them, you'll get what you want, I promise.

Just did it this weekend after a reset on Thursday.

no i dont drive around i hate those people , make it hard as hell to finish the arkfalls. they have clue that the game has tons of bugs and they wont count anyways , it will just reset like it has to make of us

considering this is a known bug, are you going to just give us all the damn pursuit when its fixed because i sure as hell dont want to kill another 2500, just because you couldnt QA patches to track our kills properly.

SamE here. Iv also beat cronkhite 6 times with out dying can I get that fixed toO please?!

Just..... give everyone 2500 kills in major arkfalls to everyone so they can complete it already goddamit. It has been like this since the game launched. Really, after playing for a month..... it only says I have 39 kills in major arkfalls.

I have noticed on XBL that if you totally log out it kills your streak. When I "officially" log out it resets the number of kills. I haven't "officially" logged out and the number of kills remains the same between turning my console off and then back on. I haven't noticed any difference in which Arkfall I do; it all stays the same.

Within a moth of play we should all have had it by now anyway :/

Mine only reset once. When it did, I was about 950. So once they reset, I took it upon myself to do the following:

1. Don't go to a Scrapper Arkfall: My friend and I have tested this and it seems like, this is a hit or miss bug. His kill count did not reset when he did so, or for a while after. Though it later reset randomly next time he logged in. Our conclusion though was, better safe then sorry.

2. Kill skitterlings: Other people have suggested already to drive around killing skitterlings. If you want to be "rude" then sure. Everytime I am at an Arkfall and I see people driving in circles, it's annoying, but I "understand." Most people don't. So what I did was something a bit different so I wouldn't be rude to others.

Everytime a destroy Crystal Arkfall would pop up, I would drive over to it (Especially the Mount Tam one). Then, I would go to the farthest most out of reach Crystal available. Assuming I was alone (most of the time I was) I would get out an LMG/Shotgun/AR (hey you need to work on getting 5,000 kills with those as well anyways) and start shooting the skitterlings. Ammo drops like crazy so it's never an issue. Every 5 minutes I would kill about 300 or more. Once a player showed up, depending on my mood, I would continue to kill skitterlings (letting the other player know why via private message, most were pretty understanding in this regard), or I would then begin to burn down the crystal. If multiple people started showing up, I would switch to my Cluster Grenade Launcher and focus on killing archers and warriors to up the kill count all the more.

Doing this repeatedly I was able to get to 2500 kills in a day or two.

I had been tracking my kills recently just to see how many I did per fall or in a day. I was up to 350, which I thought was low considering I do lots of falls. Then I logged in just 2 days ago and my kills were at 100...and my revives were only like 30 and I know this is wrong too. I submitted a ticket so lets see how long till I get told "too bad the bug got you, we are trying to fix it"

By now I have completed the pursuit by now I say just check it off Trion.

And afterwards when everyone is following you around with explosives to prevent you from getting a single kill after that, don't even worry about it. See, the people trying to destroy the crystals to get the Ark Fall finished don't really care WHY your in a roller killing the skitterlings. It's more that you ARE in a roller killing the skitterlings.

I've had several pursuit kill counts and assists keep resetting on me. Arkfall kill counts, multiple PvP Shadow Wars pursuits, Cerberus kill count, etc... I opened a ticket once and a week later they fixed it for me (by fix I mean completed the pursuit kill count). This weekend I opened a ticket (in-game) to fix five pursuits I'm having reset issues with. I assume it will take about 1 week to get a response, but that's fine.

Does this mean you guys need more information on what causes it? I am sure a dedicated team of individuals can narrow it down for you.

I have had the same thing happen to me as well 5 times until finally i had it stay at 2100. o and by the way its not the scrapper arkfall that resets your stats its the rolling d/c the one that tells you that you have timed out from the server after hours of playing lol.Log out after a few arkfalls 2-3 DONT LET THE SERVER TIME YOU OUT cuz thats how it resets. :)

It's the dcs that reset it? With or without dcs.. It still resets for me. Could it be that for some reason that the kill count is overwritten instead of being added to. No idea.

i got my 2500 4 days ago, all i did was run skitlings over at hell bugark falls, but before i did that i went to a scrapper arkfall just to test out if the scrapper arkfalls really reset your kills, and i completly confirmed that it does. i went from 73 kill down to 0 when i ran over a scrapper on accident. i checked it, it was still at 73 but when i get the exp from people finishing the ark fall it went to 0... after that i got it to 2500. and now im been doing to scrapper arkfalls to land the killshot on the progenitor. and it never reset again so far. i went to about only 6 scrapper arkfalls. my friends still say theyre restart at scrappers. im not sure wat makes it happen but i know for sure its scappers, no dout....

ive been saying it all along, if you kill hellbugs at an arkfall, then dont go to a scrapper arkfall cuz itll reset, found this out the hard way and it is a fact, i did it twice to be sure...now i dont know for a fact if it resets when you cross the red circle or if you make a kill, but switching kills between different arkfalls will reset your counter...ive been sticking to hellbug arkfalls and havent experienced the glitch once

same here, i dont know if its crossing the red circle or killing a scrapper that resets, but it sucks though, wonder why trion made it that way

ive timed out and my counter stays the same, but if i switch arkfalls it resets and ive come across a ton of players experiencing the same thing

Its not entering the circle because I ported to a friend in a Scrapper arkfall when I was near 1000 kills and my total survived. Nearly cried when it happened but it didn't reset and I finished my 2500 in the next couple days afterwards. Got dc'ed a few times as well but as long as I didn't kill any scrappers, my total was safe.

i think its the the type of enemy...like if you just spend time at an hellbug arkfall, then the counter goes for that, but if you switch then it resets, tested this out as well and its confirmed on my end too...i went from 15-1600 kills for hellbugs then went to a scrapper and got reset, man i was miffed...so i figured id try and find out if it would reset when i switched arkfalls and lo and behold it switched, so now i stick with the hellbugs and avoid the scrapper arkfalls like the plague lol...now had i started getting my kill count with scrappers id avoid the hellbug arkfalls lol

My count used to reset but not anymore.

Fix?

I just focus only on Hell Bug Arkfalls. Anywhere else is fine but the problem is with the types of arkfalls. Pick one and stick with that one type. I choose Hell Bugs because bugs all over the place.

I"ll go back to all of the arkfalls but not until the kill count part of the game is completed. When scrapper, 99r or mutant spawn I just go the other way no matter what Im doing even if its working on a daily faction contract. After all this time no way in hell am I going to loose the playtime & money spent (boosts) to go straight back to zero.

sweet, ok so now i know its not the crossing the red circle thatll reset, its that actual killing of a scrapper...i have no idea why trion would make it that way though...it should include all major arkfalls and not just a particular 1, be it hellbug or scrapper

dont switch between hellbug to scrapper, just stick with the hellbug major arkfalls and youll be fine, hellbug arkfalls pop up more than scrappers do anyway lol
