When the pursuits are similar to quests, yes.
It's semantics!
The new elemental hellbug pursuits are fun. I love the new hellbugs. Gorgeous.

So I'm to play this game slowly, like a sloth, so that Trion has plenty of time to fix things and add new content. Gotcha.

I swear if they back out of anything they said....
THIS is what the game was SUPPOSED to be!
I cant wait for them to implement this stuff, i really couldnt believe they launched this mediocre casual game and just leave it.
I wrote this off as a lost cause and moved on, but if they really do this stuff - im all in and dedicated.
Its like they really listened. REALLY listened... like no companies do that anymore.. im really happy and it restored my faith in the defiance universe. (stopped playing for 2 weeks and didnt even bother with ep.3 already) -- but if they do this stuff... wow.
Auction house? An incentive for better loot/gear? more PVP options? .. man.. a real game... I CANT WAITTTTTTTTT!

Play as you like, game is not forcing youQuote:
or rush through the new pursuit and then logout until next Monday
Some of that suggestion are simply aginst the basic fundamentals of Defiance (Defiance is based on NO gear grind, not forcing to farm, and so on)
Defiance IS a game for CASUAL players, that are the vast majority of MMO players nowadays. And the list of things in the community post is just a list of suggestions they are aware of. Suggestions being the key word. Not all of that suggestions will be implemented in game, and you'd know this if you have read the blog post
I hope they stay away from ego rated pvp, it would kill this games pvp in instance
The game can still be skill based but have some actual progression or incentive people might want to aim for...
Anyone content with the way the game is now, doesnt really have any real drive on the game and is happy with pressing E, shooting this, and driving here. They NEED to put these features in.
Also, most real MMOrpgs are NOT for just casual players - but they have catered options within them. Such as, a hardcore playing can subscribe to a game -loves the grind and can do that while actually getting rewarded. A casual player can just get on and buy a few items from a market to keep up with other players , or just simply play for free at their own speed without taking it seriously. Most MMO's just have business models that revolve around both.
To me, Defiance is the worst - most watered down game i have played that was displayed as a TPS/MMO/RPG (in its current state)
A little bit will go a long way as its basically a hollow shell of a game.
I did read the post, and they are saying this is what they plan to do to save the game. (although all of it may not be implemented, im glad it was noticed because they ARE acknowledging something is wrong.. obviously)
The excuses you keep making for this game are borderline comical. We get it, you're a fanboy.
I play maybe one hour a week. Gets no more casual than that. This game has no content. The occasional episode tie-in consisting of one pursuit, doesn't constitute as "new content".
But I guess you're right, instead of playing that one hour, I'll just check back in next week. See if any of the scores of bugs/glitches have been fixed, or if any new content has actually been added for the first time ever.
I'll just keep checking back in, since that's your solution to everything.... play it slow and check back in. smh
Like everything except these two:
Weapon Stats / Scaling on Common thru Legendary:
Tweaks to EGO scaling and weapon rarity scaling
More PVE Content:
Group/raid instances requiring 4/8/16 players and a room temperature IQ with legitimate fights and unique loot tables.
I LOVE that the weapons don't scale and that higher end weapons do a bit more, but not overwhelmingly more. Skill>Grind. Most players want to be handed power rather than learn it, I am not one of those players.
I hate current MMO raid models. They act like they are challenging, when more often then not they are about doing things in an arbitrary sequence that you learned about by watching a youtube video of it.
All incentivising loot to that level will do is make Defiance like every other MMO. Once a new and shinier MMO comes out, those people will just leave. I am not saying there isn't work to be done to make the game more playable and increase its longevity, but item progression isn't it.
I have been part of the skill games that go to item games before, and it does not make the game more popular, it just makes the game more of the same. Instead, they should further incentivise skill with greater recognition and awards for performance. Go with what makes this game fun and run with it, don't change the game.
Edit: Just the fact that you already wrote the game off shows why they SHOULDN'T change the game just for you.
