I bought the UE from Gamestop, and I do have to say that I have a bit of buyer's remorse. I do enjoy the game, but I wish that I would have bought the standard edition (and the season pass separately). I was disappointed that (1) all of the pre-order exclusives were made available on the marketplace and (2) none of the "exclusives" were actually exclusive, and could be obtained in-game (in one form or another).
Only paid $60.00, and got my money worth twice over.
Where can u see hours played?
yeah. in terms of satisfaction. bought UE.
now that we are +30 days from release, how the hell can folks be whining about content? it's a TPS that has a main storyline (that is kinda lame and repeatable, if you so choose) there are a mind-numbing amount of repetitive "emergencies" or "random encounters" and a fair amount of side missions to go along with the main mission. that's all part of the immersed single-player option. Add the multiple co-op maps, and the variety of pvp maps and shadow war ( which I haven't bothered with yet, because it was, well... kinda borked).
It took me about a month of regular play of a few hours a night, to do every side and main mission, ending with a 600something EGO rating. Now, when I step back and look at the product as a whole... a mmo (NOT MMORPG) that allows folks with PC/Xbox/PS3 to cohabitate and share the same areas? share experience?
the more I think on that, the more impressive of a feat that this title is. and the more amazed I get at all the CRAIng and Troling I see about how much this title did not meet the hype...so It sucks.
even this thread, I see a majority of folks one month in have enjoyed themselves, although are skeptical(and rightly so) about giving future funds, but are hopeful that this technological achievement will be honed and improved over time.
Yes.
Next question ?
Trade in Defiance how? This is an mmo with an account bound key. There is no trade in silly console kiddies.
I got deluxe edition and the 5 season dlc pack. I also spent to this point $600 or more on getting KTAM Radio up and running.
More than worth it. So for those whining, I think you need some perspective of what you got vs what is still coming. Bugs are being fixed, content being released and some was delayed to fix bugs first and stabilize servers. Go back into the forums a few weeks and see what people complained about, then look at today's. very very different and you see how worse things were vs not getting the right colour suit. These complaints are frivolous when you compare to launch week, proof the game is being worked on, updated and fixed.
Try interacting With the community more and not just login on to pi$$ and moan about stupid shtako. contact support if you have an issue and get it fixed. Don't post here whining because you didn't open a ticket. There is a lot more content as part of the game and community than what is just in the game, that is part of what makes an mmo, the community, other people. If you play defiance like it is a single player game you will get bored and you have not one to blame but your self.
Not saying there shouldn't be more content, but I rather have the game working than a bunch of new content that isn't and then having to come here and read all the self entitlement threads.
I got my moneys worth and it's a hell of a lot more than anyone else's posting on here.
i'm glad you dig the game, and i get what you're saying, but ironically, for me you used 2 adjectives in your defense that actually coincide with my personal feelings (and many others) after only being a month in...
"mind numbing" and "repetitive"
i hate to say it, because i was really looking forward to the game's release and now when i think about logging in those 2 phrases keep popping up. i'm not saying your wrong, because it's a matter of opinion, but there are quite a few people out there who, objectively, are very disappointed in, what we perceive as, a shallowness of content, and frustration with poor patches and a lot of bugs.
one man's treasure can be another man's gold...but for my end, the glamour of the concept has worn off and, imho, the want for better execution has derailed my enjoyment of the game.
though i still admit, by and large, the combat mechanics are awesome
