I guess your new to games.
It's real simple, real Hardcore players will Never stay in one game, they get to cap and move on.(and no Hardcore players dont abuse to cap "lvl")

Without even bothering to read a single post in the thread because this thread is on every MMO forum ever created and instead, I'll just say one thing.
They always do because it's a logistical impossibility to create stuff to do for people who play more than a few hours a week fast enough to keep them occupied. You could have a million developers and it still wouldn't be enough. Only sandbox games like EVE, for example, can sustain people who play a lot because the world is built to be malleable and thus, there is always some undertaking to sink time into.
These people go from game to game to experience something new or go through new content and move on. Nothing anyone can do about and trying to cater to this type of gamer in a non-sandbox game is pointless.
*raises hand* I'm not anywhere near quitting. just over 2100 ~8 days played. With a full time job. One of my friends has like 10 days played and isn't anywhere near quitting. So, These "hardcore" players. obviously aren't
I tend to agree with you that the devs are in over their heads. The question for we the players then is what do we do about it? Hold their heads under the water so they are more likely to drown? Toss them a line to help stay afloat? Walk away cause it's not our problem?
