    Old-school gamers vs Next-gen gamers
So being a gamer that cut his teeth playing Pong on the atari at home and pumping quarter after quarter into the Galaga machine at the local mall's arcade, I've noticed what seems to be a sad trend on here. It seems that the majority (I won't say all because that wouldn't be legitimate) of people complaining about this game seem to be "Next-gen" gamers. My point being that the "Next-gen's" seem to expect that everything is handed to them in a game. Toss in any kind of challenge and suddenly the shtako has hit the fan. Most of the helpful replies are coming from "Old-school" gamers. No, I haven't posted a lot nor posted many replies but this is what I have noticed so far from reading through posts on here. Just happy to see that the "Old-schoolers" are still hanging in here and in most cases running circles around and the "Next-gen's".

i am Next-gen gamer but i remember playing river city rampage on the nes, couldnt save progress or nothing just had to beat the game in one sitting, so you would get to the final boss and bam it would freeze. i would love to the ppl that constantly go on forums and complain about this game play something like that.

Sadly you are so right..These newer gamers have no patience and the second something doesn't go their way, they throw a temper tantrum. We are all frustrated when things go wrong but people need to learn to relax.

Agreed as well. People do complain too much and unfortunately society (gaming society) in order to sell big numbers of games has had to make things easier. Makes me wish for a Dark Souls/Demon's Souls MMO. THOSE two games are hard core and it would appear (though this is only my opinion and perception) that the "next gen kids" shy away from these types of games. Not all, but on a grand scale they do.

OH, and I'm not one to complain either but... I do wish they would AT LEAST fix the PS3 communication problem with our MICs... Just tossing that in there.

Next Gens and New Age pc(rs) are a sad thing in what once once considered a nerdy and taboo form of entertainment. Now every Timmy and Sally wants it now, now, now and if it presents a challenge it's the devs fault they can't adapt or form a new strategy to overcome something trivial as today's "difficult" games.
