I almost gained level 7 in rollers from just this race. Never drove one before. Tried for an hour ending up with failed attempts due to me baiing out because the gate didn't register. The rest must have been 30 or so bronze awards with 1 silver award. At best I have 20 seconds to "shave" off. I was surprised how terrible the car responded too.
My best time last night was 3:46, so I just missed the gold. I hate the challenger's horrible controls, and it seems to not respond half the time. Would it kill them to set 3:50 as gold, because as it is you need to be perfect just to get gold. Most races forgive small mistakes, but this race doesn't really have that luxury.
Another time I was doing a perfect run and an arkfall just decided it had to suddenly pop up right in front of me, causing me to slam directly into a barricade that wasn't there a moment before, and killing my chances at gold.
Then the game started adding 3 seconds to my time(it was subtracting a second beforehand), so now I need to beat it in 3:42.
How are people with a low level in rollers beating this so easily?
I have lv20 in rollers, but somehow I can't seem to get gold after countless attempts. I think the extra speed from being 20 is actually working against me on some turns.
Drive it for a day, get used to the way it handles. Practice jumping and hitting different angles to see what it does to the car so you know how to react when you see certain terrain. I spend a lot of time just listening to music and driving around seeing what I can jump. Helps you get better at the time trials.Quote:

First off the race was one of the easier ones with speed boost in all circles just aim for them and if you get stuck, on your next try remember were and avoid it... If you get a roadblock well jump out of the car kill the badguys and when the race fails, trigger Repeat button and try again without the roadblock.
Cant wait for the cars and the vendor! havent gotten a single of the vendor deals since start of the game, now i can get them trough this Race event they gave us!
Stop feeding general discontent from everything they do lol. Sure some of the patches has been bad but this so far has been a good thing! We know in a few more minutes if all i just wrote gona bite me in the rear... but hey if they keep adding stuff to the game im happy! :) plus patching more fixes into the game!
It was one of the simpler time trials in the game honestly. Most have WAY more issues then this one.
This one ever forgave crashing into a truck that I had to drive around, and then missing a marker forcing me to back through it lol. Its all down to practice.
There were inherent problems with the first set of time trials due to these problems, instead of fixing those before introducing new content they just threw this new race out there and didn't care. If a mission/trial can not be completed in its intended purpose, then it needs to be fixed before having it put in a retail server. This also includes patches, the NA server should not be a test bed for new content and patches for testing purposes.Quote:

Havent had a problem with any of the races, obstacles? sure but first 2-3 races you just have to learn the course, and if theres spawned emergencys, jump out and kill them and you can race 1-3 times before it spawns again.
Its not like we jump into GT or Need for Speed games and hit course records on first try either.... You have to learn, adapt and rince repeat until you perfected your own skills, earn a second here and there until you nail it...
No problemo what so ever with the game since start exept the ones given out by the patches. No bugged mission, no bugged race nada nothing.. Only thing that really has been FUBAR is the pursuits...
