So upon researching upon a forum, a guy went from the standard toy Hasbro helmet to something pretty damn awesome.

So I think I'm just going to find a helmet, probably spend like $30 on it, and then mod it like he did his. It sounds like it's pretty simple and easy to do. Could have it finished in about a month or so.
