It all depends on who is posting really. I see a lot of people with 1 post and it being a thread they made claiming they are quitting and why.

In other cases it is people who have friends around the forums and instead of letting them know individually it is easier to create a thread and anyone who cares can post a farewell.

As for the topic... I'll miss you Lindsey
