I mean I sold mine weeks ago but i still check in to see if its worth buying again to play some new missions and what a shocker nothing new, same ol sh**t goin on with bugs things not working, server issues STILL...Show doesnt even tie into the game nor does is change the game nor does the game change the show like THEY SAID...Im in shock...I cant wait till next gen consoles come out and someone actually does it RIGHT like Blizzard
more of the same they nerfed the guns now and people still mlg their way through pvp (invisible/shotgun)
new elemental hellbugs in emergencies
it's still fun if you think its gta horse (red dead redemption)

Sure it has bugs, although I've seen decent server stability improvements. There is always going to be some issues and part of it might even be your local service provider. I know they have also addressed damage hacks and some other cheating issues. Plus they are working on solving those problems...
That said I'd love to see the pursuits fixed. The PvP ones not working is a huge detterent for me.
As for cross over show to game stuff.. You have to give them some time for that. You realize the show has only shown 4 episodes. All of which were taped before the game launched. Also after every new episode there are a few episode missions pursuits that get added. So there is some cross over as of now.. You'd have to wait for player inspired content in the episodes...
Of course the big thing that is slowing the game improvement is that they launched on THREE platforms. Both Xbox and PS2 slow down the patch process...
Of course the bottom line in is the game a flop/success are a few metrics: Profit, Subscribers/Games purchases, and active players.
That's because they (the other mmos) were flops. The problem was that they were trying to be wow killers in the first place. If people wanted wow, they would have played wow.. that's what those companies didn't understand.Quote:

And this is where it falls down ; it's not really doing anything new or exciting to the genre or market, so why should we give them slack and let them BS their way through a failed development cycle?
Some games are made for greatness - and the usual signs are that it's good from day one.
Like the television show, this is not one of them.
I still enjoy the game despite it's many bugs. Honestly i still think their servers need tweaking as well
as yesterday it was not as bad as usual but think less people were on (PS3)
They thing is with Defiance, the continuation of the game all depends on the show. If the show gets low ratings and gets cancelled well so does further improvements and add ons to the game
I've been on the "Defiance is fail" bandwagon for a while now but I have to admit that I'm starting to change my tune. Hard to think of it as a flop when I logon at 6:00 AM on a Tuesday and see hundreds of people everywhere I go with a handfull using their mics and trading stories.

I want to see this game do good, i really do enjoy playing it but i am seeing less and less players online everyday now. I think Trion are going to have to really pull a rabbit out of the hat to save it.
Its a shame that so many players didnt really give it a chance. But it aint over till the fat lady sings and as Ellie is in Borderlands 2 i may hear her again sooner than i wanted to.

I'm sure there's more interactivity planned but there's 2 giant problems that limit the type of "real time synchronization" that the show can have with the game (and vice versa).
1. With the abundance of glitches, bugs, and server stabilization issues the game has had (across 3 platforms) getting the game stable has likely became a priority, internally affecting show/game content.
2. The TV show and game have varying content release schedules which limits the turn around of including something from the game into the show. Season one of the show has completed filming already for example. In the future beyond season one like we've seen, it'll be more likely to see Show stuff in the game as content than Game stuff having significant impact on the direction or character of a show.
I'm just wondering how much you're being paid by a competitor to make all these posts?
A competitor wouldn't have to pay someone for this kinda stuff. "Used to be" Defiance fans are causing a stir already.Quote:
