Patch 1.014 Discussion

As our team works towards the next major patch release 1.020 (details coming soon). We are working to provide smaller updates and hot-fix issues that can be addressed server side only.

DEFIANCE Patch 1.014

- Freight Yard is back...again.
- Svushinnira, “the rain of pollution”, grows ever more severe. Horribly mutated Hellbugs dot the Paradise landscape as the Hellbug mating season continues. Nano-effect imbued Hellbugs are now more common and many familiar encounters now carry a new and dangerous change. This includes more Electric and Syphon Monarchs and mutated Hellbugs now appearing at Parraba Ranch, Happy Pow, Bug Basin, Ridgecrest Mine, Big Stone Reach, and Diablo Station.
- Completing Ranks of Echelon now gives you a second outfit to equip in competitive matches.
- Some EGO rating 1900 to 2000 weapons were not getting their rarity bonus’s appropriately. This is now fixed.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when hitting Ctrl-Q.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when resetting missions.
- Fixed a crash associated with Dogtown Mine.
- Removed some of the level up spam that happened upon load in.

Sledge i mean no disrespect but when are we going to hear about important things? like chat being fixed episode missions being implemented ? And the other huge problems with the game. Sure the hell bugs are fun but they arnt enough to ignore the core problems..

I wonder if the models popping in and out are included in the "server-side fixes".

And the Salvage Matrix bug is still an issue, no?

He did say the next major patch is 1.020 and that details were coming soon.

Still very "meh" and doesn't address practically all the major issues.

Thats cool and thanks for the reply. Could you give a hint on when we will hear more about 1.020? not asking details or anything just a soft timeline for when we will get info on it is all?

sledge thanks for the update, how confidant are you that Freight Yard is gonna stay. Also not to bust your burly Balls here, but are patch 1.020 gonna be significant, Would this finally lead to you folks releasing DLC????

Possibly, but most likely not. As we work to release Patch 1.020 this month, some of the smaller patches might get rolled into the 1.020 update. This will all depend on how approvals line up to the release schedule our development team is working towards.

Patch 1.020 is fairly large... Think of Patch 1.010 size... But our team is confident Freight Yard is back and here to stay.

The only concern I have is Patch 1.010 was also fairly large and introduced (unintentionally, of course) a plethora of new bugs along with it. Let's hope this isn't the case this time. lol

But does that include a chat update? It would be nice for us folks on the PC who have no interest in this open mic VOIP stuff to be able to (1) see chat for more than 10 seconds, and (2) talk to people that aren't standing so close to us we should worry about dropping the soap.
