weapon skills, and rare items

ill be the example... I use Assault Rifles, Pump Shotguns, Pistols (precision), and Bolt-Action Snipers... I mainly use AR.. I am a lvl 14 skill I have been just using whatever rifle max it out then part it or sell it.. but what is the actual way to lvl it up .... cause ive lvld my AR by just getting half way on the weapon not even maxing it out, and ive raised it by maxing it out... anyone know the detailed way of lvling weapon skills... does anyone know the max lvl for weapon skill..?

another random question, but what is falloff dmg?


also im lvl 721 atm, and what is the best way to find rare items... and doing the time trials and shooting trails... get you different points how valuable are those... I hate doing those cause I never place high and it almost seems impossible lol Ive played fps and 3rdps since forever so I am a solid shooter with accuracy.. example ive always had a kd of 2.0+ in all cod and mw...

As far as I have seen each time finishing a weapons xp will lvl said type up. But say u use one half way then switch on ur next weapon when u reach half on the new weapon it will lvl up the said weapon type.

so its just the point then... makes sense I wish they would have a meter... that would make more sense lol

Your weapon Xp and skill Xp are two different things. Any weapon will build the skill in that weapon class unless it is maxed. Easiest way to watch your skill go up is on your HUD, look at the lower left where the weapon is, under that is a white bar. That bar is your skill bar and not your current weapon.

.... what? im talking about weapon skill ... skill xp? are you talking about EGO? and only the weapon in question can actually lvl it up I cant use a smg and lvl up my AR... that bar is the bar I am referring to weapon skill. im gonna log on right now so I can be more specific with the menu options and skill tree title.




in start menu.. stats.. under skills.. my AR is lvl 14.. -4% reload, +3% crit mult, -8.0% recoil, +10% melee, +5% trigger. whats the max lvl your weapon skill can be, and whats the most effective way of doing so.

I think fall off is the damage lost over distance. So falloff dmg would increase your effective range.

No, I am saying there are 2 separate experience bars, one for your weapon, which you see on the actual weapon itself. Then the skill experience, which you can see under the stats page, however, that experience bar is flawed and not current. In order to see your skill experience, look under your weapon in the HUD display. Any assault rifle will raise your assault rifle skill as long as the weapon isn't maxed. I am just trying to say that leveling a weapon to max isn't gonna guarantee you a weapon skill point. I am at 18 right now with LMGs, and it takes a few LMGs to get a level in skills.

Oh and also, max weapon level right now is 20
