nope they only had signed for 1 season. they said there wont be much interconnection with the game and show unless they get renewed. they said season 2 will be more integrated with the game

Didn't Stargate Universe get halfway through it's 2nd season then Syfy simply canned it..?

    Cool!

Hopefully the game and show are allotted more resources to produce more content.

Im still confused if defiance as a whole, both game and show, is an experiment, a success, or failure. Maybe to early to say, I guess time will tell.

One season of SG:U was made and then they canned it *sniff* they left it on a ruddy cliffhanger and all!

Im glad to hear we are getting a season 2 and in the second season it will be more integrated with the game.

Actually they started to work on it, last Jan/Jeb, yeah, a few month back. I suppose its set in the stone now. Ladies and Gents, Defiance is here to stay, game was OK success too. Trion didnt get busted, thats what matters.

if you were a discerning stargate fan, you would have seen the immediate correlation between SG-1 episode 200 and stargate universe.

stargate universe was a joke idea by the original show runners. you cant expect a joke idea to turn out well into a real show. quite possibly the best episode of universe was the fire episode. think it was like #3.

Let's hope that the series carries the game until the game's contant and balance allow it to finally stay on its own feet.

The end of stargate universe basically summed up how stargate had changed from when i first started watching it. The studio knew it was cancelled and decided to film the ending they did to screw with the execs, so instead of giving the fans an ending we could enjoy we got a giant middle finger and **** you very much for supporting them.

You should know that the website "Hollywood Reporter" is the same website that is known for any time a celebrity has a big lunch goes on a rant about how they are pregnant. Over 85% of their news is unconfirmed rumors, or outright lies. While it would be interesting news if it is indeed true, you should confirm this with more reputable sites first.

Dont wanna be an *** but heres something i found.

THR: How does the game world connect to the TV show?

Butler: In the game you start out playing with the lead character of the show and get to know him before he disappears. I would love to tell you the whole twist there because it is amazing, but I am not allowed to. The next time you see that lead character he is driving away from you and on the TV show you see him driving into the main action. There will be these constant direct crossovers in virtually every episode.

.... someone hasn't been playing same game/watching same show as the rest of the world.

Statistically the game is already heading towards a failure unless the DLC can seriously pull it out which would make me happy since I prepurchased pass when I prepurchased game .. that is to say .. before I knew how bad the experience of it was.

The ONLY thing this game had going for it was the storyline(when it worked). Now after watching the show ... i'm praying it gets better fast because no amount of good actors/actresses can save a mediocre transplanted storyline and if the show fails the game is toast. However can anyone get some form of confirmation from a REAL website or other source then a rumour mill?

Yep I could have sworn in an interview they said they had enough material for two. I guess they just wanted to see how the first would go before jumping on the second.

I'm glad they got picked up I was pulling for them, now if I can figure out how the show and game are connected... I heard that we were to have more interaction with Nolan and Irisa but I didn't see that in game or I didn't get that far yet, ether way it is defiantly good news I enjoy both the game and the show

Stargate Universe should never have been made. That series was a great big pile of $hite. I can't believe they chose SG:U over Atlantis. OOh BSG, and Voyager did quite well, lets make a Star Gate set in that sort of environment, and lets use carboard cut outs instead of actors. SG:U was absolutely pi$$.

Good to hear Defiance got picked up for another season.
