    All Platforms! Shadow War - Both Teams spawn in the same place at match start
    When the match starts, it always spawns parts of both teams in the same spot. People spawn, get spawn killed, spawn again, get spawn killed again, spawn, hide behind the spawn point, get to spawn kill others.

    It happens until someone has captured a point.

    Yep. It can get frustrating. It's happened to me many a times where as soon as the match starts, I either kill a few or they kill me. I think the logical solution is to spawn the teams away from each other's default spawn.

    It's just a strange thing to have happen at all. I mean, once the game gets going you never, ever spawn at the "enemy" spawn point - granted, there are idiots that camp the spawn points since they're always the same, but actually spawning right next to each other should not happen.

    It's not just the 360 it happens on the PC as well, it is free points when you start out I always am ready to murder the spawners and then move on but I agree it seems odd and should be changed.

    It happens on all systems. It just leads to a bunch of deaths while people are still in loading screens.

    What they need is two extra capture points. Each team starts with one captured at the start of the match.

    It's possible for the other team to capture that point, but not for the first quarter of the match.

    Why would you want to change it? it's fun as hell, you load in and there's people all around you fighting already.

    Yeah, you're already present in game as soon as the loading stops, but you're only in control of your character about 1-3 seconds later.

    I could accept a "race start" with everybody on their rollers in one line, both teams, and it's a race to the points where the fighting starts.

    But spawning right next to the enemy without being able to move, dying before you actually get into the game, shooting someone who's not moving because he's not really "there" yet? Not my idea of competitive fun...

    My question is why would someone start the teammates and the enemy in the same spawn, in the first place? I could only understand it if it was a "free for all" game mode.

    Shadow War is very similar to Conquest on Battlefield. When the game starts, all the flags are neutral. Both teams have their on base. Each team has a fair chance to control the closest flag near their base. Everything is game after that. Shadow War is not small like PvP, but in TDM each team spawns on opposite sides of the map. So doesn't PvE start on the opposite sides of the map?
    It would definitely help avoid some of the insta deaths when the match begins.

    EU Xbox 360 for me, but it happens as reported on PC and PS3 as well. Don't know the region of those guys, though...

    I thought this was intended, as it's kind of a frantic-opening battle to see who can get the first node.

    That might be fun, if not for the fact that

    A) people keep spawning there after their first death, allowing others to spawn kill
    B) people can be killed before they have control of their character, which kind of defeats the "battle" part, as they can't fight back, allowing others to spawn kill with impunity

    Well, then, to me it happens everywhere except San Fran, since I never played Shadow Wars in San Fran.

    @Sledgehammer the spawns for shadow war in ALL regions of the in-game and eu and na servers feature both teams spawning in the same EXACT defualt spawn its a race of who gets in the game first and backing up and waiting. I found a trick exploiting this big (whether intended or not) when you spawn and backup once you see red damage numbers appear from a spawning character you drop a grenade. Which brings me to the point, when players FIRST spawn blue or red damage numbers appear symbolizing friend and foe.

    Seen it happen when you first enter SW on all places, usualy stay and kill them myself but thats becouse i dont want to get someone else on my back :)

    Also spawnpoint B in Mount Tam, when you have died and pick B it spawns you in the default spawnplace instead of close to B. (like on the other side of the map SW-wise

    This is one of the reasons why I hate Shadow Wars.
    I never seem to be able to 'load' quick enough and I spawn dead! Then it happens again whilst re-spawning.
    That and the ridiculous lag have stopped me from playing what could be a decent game mode.
    Doubt if it is my connection either as I have 100mb

    If it were a system, one that waited until everyone is actually in the game, then spawned teams in the same places once (and only once), like a race to see who survives to get to the first capture point, fine.

    But getting killed before you get control of your character, only to spawn again in the exact same place for the exact same thing to happen again is simply not okay.

    I can specifically recall it happening where Kenn Farm hosts point A and where North Point Mine hosts point A. Not sure on the regions.
