Open Letter to Trion - Things we think will make the game better!
Dear Trion
I would hope you would take the time to read this forum and see letters from consumers like me that have suggestions, criticisms and compliments. I am not the only one who thinks in this manner since I do play with quite a few that feel the same way. So please, take the time to consider some of our suggestions and so on. I also welcome my fellow Defiance gamers to chime in with something constructive.
Arkfalls-
Driving a vehicle closer than 25 meters should be disallowed. A force field or something that throws the vehicle/player back should be instituted. Having arkfalls ruined by players driving in circles should no longer happen.
Drops should consist of something more than shields and grenades.
Other creatures or types of arkfalls would be great but I'm sure d/l content will fix that soon.
3, 4, or 5 keys. How do we know when we get these? Top 10 should get 5, 11-20 4 and lower than that 3. It would give incentive to finish the arkfall or fight to the end rather than go in, shoot twice and earn keys.
Rare Loot
On rare loot we feel something different should be done. Lock boxes are fine and keys should still be able to be used to get rare loot. However why not make it more challenging.
- Make a box where you can buy rare weapons using either contract points or points done completing the game missions. This makes players actually play the game instead of farming for keys for lock boxes doing nothing but arkfalls. That makes the game extremely boring doing arkfalls over and over only to get disappointed by the results. For example, completing the game earns one visit to a special box that allows you to choose a certain type of rare weapon (IE Orange shield and grenade choice) and once you choose one of those choices the game randomly picks a shield type.
Another example. 2000 contract points in any of the various companies earns you a random orange.
Finishing all side missions earns you one random orange upon completion.
Finishing all time trials with gold earns you one random orange.
Finishing all hotshots with gold earns you an orange.
Finishing all rampages with gold earns you an orange.
etc etc etc.
Make the oranges difficult to get but the points is IT GETS PEOPLE PLAYING OTHER ASPECTS OF THE GAME!
Salvage Matrix
Good god who thought this system up a masochist? We feel the following changes should be implemented for convenience and efficiency.
Allow us to sort our inventory and put what we use most at the top. New finds are on the bottom.
Allow us to check each item we want to break down into salvage them MASS SALVAGE multiple items.
Allow us to lock certain items to avoid selling items we don't want to sell.
PLEASE remove the box after we exit that tells us what we got for each item. There is nothing more annoying than watching a green box with 500, 750, 1000, 500, 250, 500 for the next 5 minutes.
Added ideas -
Storage box with perhaps 8 slots we can store weapons we'd like to use later.
There are other things that I'd like to add later on so I'd like to keep this thread going. As other players add their opinions I'll update the original post to show ones that makes sense. It's a fun game for the most part and we like playing it but it's starting to wear thin. Give us reasons to play the storyline through again. Give us a reason to really push those side missions and time trials. And please for the love of all fix that salvage matrix.
