who said they were only getting banned for 24 hours?
It's very possible that the first ban is just 24 hours.. then probably 72 hours.. then perma. But nobody really knows except trion.
they can't ban them for too long,or the hackers won't be buying the overpriced crap from the storeQuote:

Shouldn't the duration of the ban be based on the severity of the offense? You wouldn't imprison someone who committed murder for the same amount of time as someone who shoplifted, right? So why would the ban's duration be based upon an arbitrary number of offenses?

Because this is a game and there is no "capital" hacking offense. Or rather a hacking scenario that falls within that category would not be responded to with a ban, but legal action. The point of escalating periodical bans is to impress on the hacker that they should not do it anymore, not to execute a procedural form of revenge for the rest of us.Quote:
