**Warning; Wall of Text**
Trion,
I've been playing DEFIANCE now since about Day 3 or so, I admit I didn't have it on Day 1 as I was still debating on getting it or not.
Currently my EGO Rank is about 1800.
Up till this point I been defending TRION, defending DEFIANCE, and defending it's future.
I have also defended against the people who claim there is a lack of content and that the base package of the game gets boring and becomes a grind.
Well, it's happened.
I am nearing 1800 EGO Rank, I've completed 54 Pursuits, I've done all Main Missions now 2 Times, and I've done all Side/Episode Missions as well. I've done all of the CoOp maps countless times each. I've done a ton of PVP Death Matches as well. Of course I've done a ton of Ark Falls too.
I've tried my best to just let the natural flow of the game come to me, not to burn myself out, not to over do anything or any of the content to much. I've broken it up, do things one day, do others another day.
I admit as of now, I'm still not burnt out by DEFIANCE at all, however; I have started to feel the GRIND that people have suggested.
I don't want to come off negative... I'm not walking away from the game, by no means.
In fact I've paid $60 for the game, $40 for the Deluxe Edition Upgrade, $40 for the Season Pass (As of 2 days ago) and I've restocked my Bits twice now.
Fact is, I still feel like I've gotten my moneys worth. I've played many MMOs, and I've bought many one hitta quitta games. Games where you pay $60 and beat it in 2 weeks and looking to trade it for 10% it's worth or worse.
I've most definitely gotten my initial $60 out of the game, and the future of the game I'm sure I'll feel like all the other money I put into this game was a good investment... But there lays the concern.....
I've been seeing all the Game Ratings for Defiance; to be honest, they aren't very good.
I've seen all the bad press and bad reactions all over the forums. Yes I know the only ones that come to the forums are the ones that burnt themselves out on the game trying to min/max or cap within the first few weeks and be that guy that is "The First" and now they're burnt. They are the only ones coming to the forums complaining while the rest of us are enjoying the game. I get that... But; as I veteran gamer and MMO player, it's more then that, I'm not blind to it.
I've seen the reports of the units sold...
I admit that I don't have 100% proof or factual information, I can only go off what information is presented for us all to read. Are the numbers skewed? Probably... But even the best case numbers, they aren't ideal...
Do I believe that Trion is going to do like some other first timer MMO companies have done, discontinue the product and leave all the customers holding the bag? No, I don't believe they'll do that one bit... That's a reputation that any respectable company that has even a small good track record wouldn't want. Trion I feel is above that.
However; I have a huge problem with lack of information... Lack of meaningful updates/patches...
I have a huge problem with some of the key points of this game having glaring issues and problems and they've been like this since day 1.
We've seen somethings get fixed, but while fixing those somethings, other things get broken. This is pretty normal in the MMO/Game development world, but when key aspects of the game gets broken or aren't working, this is a big problem.
I have no doubt that TRION is working around the clock to provide fixes... Atleast at first they were...
But lately, I'm beginning to wonder...
I feel information is becoming more and more scarce... Taking longer and longer to get meaningful updates...
With the recent information we had it was assumed:
1) We would get a big game update sometime this month.
2) After the big game update, hopefully all going smooth(ish) we would then get DLC 1 probably the following month after that.
With the recent postponing of our latest smaller sized Patch, obviously this seems logical it'll push back all those expectations further.
I'm growing concerned... I'm growing more frustrated... I'm growing more impatient...
I hate to admit it, I love this game, it's been hella fun so far.
But the more I keep dealing with:
1) Losing Clan Boosts because of the Glitch that makes it "Appear" as though you're booted from you clan, to fix you have to re-log.
2) Chat still being a mess...
3) Ark Falls now glitching out...
4) Pursuits still not tracking right...
5) Reloading Bug...
6) Contract issues...
7) Perk Glitch...
...among other glitches, these are the ones that I've grown quite frustrated with more and more as I've progressed more through the game.
These are some of the more serious issues, I'm sure there are others, sorry if I left any out.
These issues are some of the CORE aspects of the game, and all... ALL of them have issues.
Am I wrong for my concern? Am I wrong for my frustration growing?
Am I the only one?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Trion, I want... I WANT this game to succeed!!!
I've been enjoying the show, would love to see more cross over content, but even I know before a game can have more content added, alot of these glaring issues need to be fixed first.
I hope we loyal fan boys don't have to wait much longer?

EDIT: PS, please no trolls... I know in just saying this the Trolls will come. I'd like to keep this a constructive thread. I'm trying hard not to sound like I'm complaining, and I don't want to come off negative. I've been loving Defiance, have had alot of fun so far out of it, I'm concerned... Voice those opinions, but keep the personal attacks to yourself.
