QFT. I haven't heard "artard" used as an insult in a decade and a half.

Well, I am one of them. Stopped playing about four weeks ago but after every new episode I get the urge to log back in.
Do you know what happens next? I get in, look around, try a quest or two and ... log out.
And for me it's not bugs that bother me. It's boredom. Plain and simple. Even after I've watched a new episode of Defiance on TV and are full of impressions from a new story or some new development, I feel bored while I play.
Why? I came to the conclusion it's because I feel absolutely no connection between the show I have just seen and the game I am trying to play. It will probably change in the future, but for now it's simply not there. I am constantly trying to catch a glimpse of the game while watching TV series and while playing I am looking for some innuendo of the TV series that would convince me they are connected.
And I am afraid there is little chance of those two really connecting. Game is about shooting and has almost no personal or character involvement and show is about characters and their personal stories while Nolan uses the only gun in the show.

    Same here to a point.
But for me it was mostly the bugs that pushed the call.

I also don't feel much of a connection either. The only real thing that strikes me is, they both have the same name, some characters mentioned in both, and hellbugs were in both.

Kind of wanna see Nolan pull out a SAW in the show know.......or the bioman show up a lot with a minigun.
Ooooooohhhhhh........or maybe waves of 99ers coming out of an APC type vehicle that drilled up from below ground.

As if you can do ANYTHING with any information they give you that you could do now.

And now, and now! We need twitter posting being 54+ posts a day?

Are you freaking kidding me? It's one thing to get what you pay for (You have, and you will get your dlc calm down kids) it's another to really.....push the envelope on stupid *** requests.

Do you even know how much legal garbage is going on with laying folks off? You realize there are certain things that must be fufilled.

You are aware when companies let folks go they generally don't announce they did? It's inside little information that gets the reports (Speculation) not the company.

I refuse, refuse to accept these actions as sane adults. You guys have problems with reality or something along those lines to expect a company to sit there and give you details on their weakness.

What you said, only politely. I think the mistake they made was in underestimating the ability of people to overeact or give up over the slightest thing, and in overestimating peoples ability to understand how things work.

Besides even if they did release a statement, what would that matter? Who trusts what a business says anyway? What a business does, is more important than what they say.

As I am not a teenage girl, I am not overlly concerned with "twitter". I have in fact never visited twitter. Then again I don't care for my little ponies either. When did men become little girls, when did this happen?

Anyway, so they don't tweet you enough? You know what they do instead of playing with you on social media? Their jobs. They patch the game quite frequently. Oh and add content.

As far as the season passes go, they "ARE" an investment. And sometimes investments don't pan out. A season pass is a great way of supporting a game, and allowing the developer know that there will continue to be a market for their product.

So they "should" have made a better attempt to explain themselves. While at the same time the shouldn't really have "had" too. There are a lot more tinfoil hats out there than one might think.

Let's be honest though, the gaming industry in general has done enough shady stuff to legitimize some of the shell-shock in the community. It might not be Trion's fault, but they do end up unfairly having to shoulder the bad reputation of others in their field.

So, do I trust Trion? No, of course not, trust is foolish and dangerous thing. I will at least give them the benifit of a doubt and a chance to prove themselves. Hope for the best, expect the worse, and all that.

Some of you have clearly missed the point. Nobody gives a crap whether they use twitter a lot or not because it's trendy or some such nonsense. What people are looking for (myself included) is communication. Whether it happens here (preferably here), on twitter, on facebook, in freaking smokesignals.. whatever and wherever.. it needs to simply happen more. A lot more. Because players have a lot of things to talk about with the developers, whether it's addressing concerns or getting more information on the game's mechanics, they want to see some feedback flowing both ways.

And, you know what, when you specifically have staffed hired for community communications.. there's really no excuse for all this dead air.

This is one of my biggest complaints with Defiance. They have CS dept yet their work cannot be described in any other way but abysmal.
There is only Sledge and even she/he treats this forum as twitter and rarely posts more than one-liners. Now put this into numbers perspective and you get one CS person for how many hundred thousands?

    Stop worrying so much.

You DO realize there is something called PR spinning right? One would think they would have to say something about it or see people jump ship in droves and cancel dlc.

Long story short... id.. probably cancel dlc if i were you. Just sayin.
