    Do we need something different?
Before I get flamed, this isn't a trolling whine.

Despite its initial problems I have really enjoyed Defiance so far. But, today I had a free day and thought **** it I'm gonna play Defiance all day ;) And today for the first time since I bought it I found myself getting bored. It seems as though its pretty much same stuff different location, go to a place, kill baddies, hold down the square button at certain parts etc etc.

It got me thinking how could the Devs change it up a little? I was thinking maybe they could add puzzles like in Tomb Raider and Uncharted just to change things up a little.

Anyone else starting to get bored or is it just me? What would you like to see?

I'm not saying I don't agree with alot of your post, but in all fairness....what game doesn't require you to do pretty much the same thing?

It seems that most, if not all games any more require the same "go here kill baddies, then pickup/flip something"

Even Tomb Raider (which is awesome btw) is pretty much the same thing...go to area, clear out the baddies, solve a little puzzle.move on.

As I mentioned,I do agree with pretty much what you are saying,as I myself get bored at times as well, but I find myself doing the same thing in pretty much every game I play anymore.

I know what you mean, and maybe I'm asking for too much. I just find that pretty much every mission is the same but with different scenery. I'm not by any means a full time gamer but I have really been getting into Defiance and as I said today was the first time I started to get bored of it. I just hope the new DLC or patches brings us something a bit different.

I think its more the repetitive nature that the pursuits and contracts have that makes it boring. I don't mind fighting baddies and that, I just get bored having to collect 40 Skitterling skins from Marin each time I play the game.

The daily contracts are really getting old. Seriously there are so many possible daily contracts that could be made to spice it up a bit and we are stuck doing the same dozen or so over and over again.

Your realizing now, why I sent my clan members a message about my absence.

All games are repetitive, thus all games eventually bore you to death unless something, or someone keeps them fresh, a friend with wise cracks, a noob who needs help, something to make you come back after the fact.

Even skyrim, gets boring after awhile... it took longer, but regardless everything run's it's course.

That being said, put something down, take a breath, stick it back in, and you at times can have fun again. After a month and a half of Defiance, Skyrim has been given a renewed love. Then watching previews of Defiance((The TV Show)) urges me to pop it in and play if for an hour or so. The game has a lure, I won't deny that, it has many. Most MMO's have lot's of love due to companionship in game, not dating necessarily, but friendly competition, and laughs as you game, and chat.

The way Defiance has kept me having fun isn't it's game play, it's when a clan mate of mine shouts "Arkfall" at the top of his lungs, turns the car and drives towards it like it was a religion, it's when his uncle then goes "Will you shut the hell up, I'm trying to dance in the passenger seat" Moments like that, make me smirk, and then I drive off with them.

I would like to see a Jungle area, but it might require to much tree copypasta.

Or a bombed out city, with tall buildings to climb and shoot from. Would probably require too much work.

So I will settle for a Desert.

If they fix the social gaming part it might help with the boredom, keep people interested.

this actually made me lol, an yes Skyrim did get old fast, especially when it was released with 70% done...an then the dlc came out... an all the issues it brought killed it for me. Anywho, I agree with you. an I am glad to see you find your mates a good tool to come back to a game with some major issues. I just got some of my real life friends into this game, but I also told them the straight up on whats going on an all that, so they know - an dont get all po'd an just leave. So if they get spots where they're like wtf did mj get me into, I can help them figure out what an where to go for help.

I think if they added a more diverse enemy base, added larger player instances, a more diverse environment. Daily missions that changed and weren't the same every day I think some of that boredom would wear off. I also think if they added incentives that were worth the grind that too would be a welcomed change. I think tiered loot would be a welcomed change. We still have to remember that this is a game in its mmo infantcy.
